I do like where this is going!
Miami tech is booming. But who is building for the other 95% of South Florida? 🧵

Is the decentralised and intermediary-free web here? Almost. The Polkadot Products Devnet is a working copy of the upcoming production network and Polkadot Products. And now it has been shared with you. What does this mean exactly? A new way to ship applications. Your domain isn't rented. It's yours. No renewals. No expiry date. No registrar that can take it back. Your app lives on-chain, served by the network. Getting-started guide in the article below 👇 What are you waiting for?

Replying to @alice_und_bob
@alice_und_bob I don't think Parity not the w3f can succeed with the creation of a movement. Ethereum has it, they (parity and w3f) tried to build it by paying actors (you witness that first hand too) and nothing came out of it, on the opposite that kill it.

kids out of school that can program can not do that either, this is part of a deeper an longer conversation that a community should have all of the parts of the community having a voice with lose coordination. I'm building a web2 app now, can use some crypto rails.

But im not inclined to use a slow database just because i want to use the tech, yes i can gain an edge by using it, but really i dont need it. so can the tech succeed, maybe. time will just tell, but right now it seems very unlikely. Polkadot has build bad reputation, hardtoclean

Web3 Summit 2026 was not about a single roadmap or a defining announcement. It delivered something more useful: a shared understanding of where the pieces connect. Trinity. Playground. Humanity. Levity. Taken individually, each solves a different problem. Together, they describe a common direction. An internet where the decentralized stack demands no more from developers than Web2 infrastructure does. Where users interact with applications, not protocols. Where the infrastructure is invisible by design. parity.io/blog/from-blockcha…

Devs, are you ready for your first mover advantage? The opportunity to build on everyday apps, which are fully private, secure, and decentralised. More updates are coming soon.

Decentralized web hosting. Addressable sites via dotNS. Universal sign-in. Private payment rails. Message passing, hot storage, syncing and notifications - decentralized and uncensorable. The building blocks of a fully integrated Web3 stack. Abstracted from the underlying chains. Built to work together as a cohesive whole. @Web3Summit demonstrated a small part of it. The rest is in the pipeline. @gavofyork touched on the direction in Polkadot 2030. The building blocks are there. They work. And privacy across payments, identity, and everything in between runs through all of it.

Now that makes sense. But let’s do it slowly so no one can hijack the network. Did happen on their watch already.
DOT DAO ≠ W3F Can W3F identify its own wallets so the so-called DOT DAO can exclude them from decision-making and from receiving revenue from the new $JAMKB token? After all, they are supposed to be just web3 researchers and non-profit organization

Polkadot outlook by @gavofyork live at the Web3 Summit in Berlin. Web3 is not a progression of Web2. These are two opposite approaches. Web2 solved social scale first, while Web3 solved economic functionality. Polkadot Trinity is being built right now. We do the hard work in the background, so the product developers don’t have to. No logins. No install to start using. Comfortable and familiar interfaces. Coherence across devices. No crypto identifiers. No exposure to multiple selves. Mathematically guaranteed privacy and security. Stay tuned.

Gavin Wood is scheduled to speak at Web3 Summit 2026 this Thursday with a session called “Polkadot 2030.” From what I’m seeing, Friday also has “The JAM Demo” and a JAM fireside listed. I’m trying to learn as much as I can from this, so if anyone knows whether the event will be livestreamed, recorded, or where we can tune in, please drop the link or point me in the right direction. I’m watching this closely. Polkadot 2030. JAM. Web3. The next stage of the ecosystem. Agenda: web3summit.com/agenda/ #Polkadot #DOT #JAM #Web3 #GavinWood

What? This looks revolutionary!
When content is tied to a server, whoever runs the server controls access. @Polkdot indexes content by hash, not by server location. Anyone with the identifier can retrieve it. No single platform controls access. Storage expires when you no longer need it, and renews when you do. Static sites, media assets, and application data. Available, censorship-resistant, and retrievable by anyone.

Probabilistic systems never quite finalize a block, and that gap is exploitable. Actors monitor chains for reorgs. They replay states speculatively and extract information from the space between "probably final" and "actually final." GRANDPA closes that space. @Polkadot finalizes blocks in seconds, reducing ambiguity and exposure.

Most internet data is short-lived, but Web3 only gave us permanent solutions. That mismatch is why people still ask where Web3’s mass appeal products are, because: Social never moved on-chain Messaging never moved on-chain Real consumer apps stalled
