When your mentee’s research is so good she has to go all the way to HAWAII to present it! I’m so proud 🥹 #ElonEd

2 years ago @sakari_milan zoomed into my #ElonEd class with @Mkwinter2. Ever since I’ve imagined reading The Sea Surfers to my own class! Yesterday that vision came true because this is the perfect book to read for Indigenous Peoples’ Day!
I can’t wait to use @sakari_milan‘s @talesofcameliab in my own class to help share true stories that have been hidden for too long. Hearing her excitement and passion for her books made me so excited for my future Ss to hear her writing! Elementary and all educators check her out
I KNOW HER! So proud to be your friend and learn from you @MsMason0414 💕 Congrats! #ElonED
Meet Ms. Makenzie Mason @MsMason0414 our @GABChamps Beginning Teacher of the Year, and now OCS BTOY as well! We are so proud you will represent us this year. Thank you Mr. Xavier Adams & Mrs. Shannon Floyd for helping to pass the torch today 🏆💐 #OCSInspires

My students were so excited to visit the maker space today! I loved seeing their creativity as they designed and made a teddy bear 🧸
Meet Sweet Pea! Today our class voted on a name for our class pup after reading The Name Jar. We learned the importance of knowing each other’s names and how to pronounce them. Then everyone helped to tally and graph the votes! (Also check out the other amazing name suggestions)
Working together with our new classmates to create using marshmallows and spaghetti! @HESSPLASH
