Socialism isn't a vow to be in poverty or dress like shit or not have luxuries or entertainment or fun in your life.
Socialism is about destroying a class hierarchy where the haves control and deprive the nots from the basic necessities of life and empowering the working class.

People are not having some paradigm shift in their values in these midterms. They are voting for their pocketbook. Trump has made things worse for the working class, those people are still racist and transphobic. But they have put the economy before their hatred this time.

This woman was raped at Cornell. She explains that her rapist got an essay - just like Jane Doe's case.
A CNN investigation found that "half of the 16 Cornell University students found responsible for sexual assault over a recent 4 year period avoided suspension or expulsion. Instead, they were punished with written reprimands, disciplinary probations, and extra study programs."

Happy #SocialistSunday friends !

No one has any obligation to restrict their criticism to corruption in the nation they live in. Anyone trying to shame you for criticizing some pet foreign state doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. They are unpaid propagandists for opposing capitalist blocs.

Conservatism was dying a slow death after the internet was made widely accessible. The rise of fascism is the extinction burst of right-wing ideology. The oligarchs had to astroturf a movement, spread mass propaganda, and coup governments to avoid the right's deserved decline.
