If you’re going to fight an ideology, you had better understand what you’re fighting.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have put their vision in writing: a new constitution, an abolished Senate, and a presidency and Supreme Court replaced by institutions chosen by and subordinate to Congress.
I am fundamentally opposed to this vision for America. And I believe understanding exactly what DSA proposes is essential to challenging it.
That’s why I went beyond the headlines and followed the records: its candidates, leadership, organizations, political coalitions, organizing strategies, and funding.
How many Americans have actually taken the time to read what DSA says it wants?

A black bear broke into an Alaska family’s Subaru, got trapped inside, and completely destroyed the interior.
Police had to rescue the bear.
Nobody seems particularly concerned about the emotional well-being of the Subaru.

The FTC and 20 states are suing Dollar General for allegedly charging customers more at checkout than the prices on the shelves.
Well, it’s called Dollar General, not Dollar Specific. 🙄😂

The U.S. military has banned Chinese-made BYD vehicles from entering its air base in Japan. Even taxis and delivery vans.
The concern? Their cameras and sensors could expose military secrets.
Imagine ordering lunch and finding out the delivery car is a national security threat. 🙄😂

More than 60 Orthodox Christians were reportedly massacred in Ethiopia’s Oromia region this weekend. Churches and homes burned. Families, including children, killed.
Where’s the wall-to-wall coverage? The outrage? The attention?
Christians are being hunted. The silence is deafening.
Pray for the persecuted church.
Bilbao is burning.
“Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”

Today on Earth, Russian strikes hit Kyiv, killing at least one person and injuring 10, Ukrainian officials said. Strikes also hit Kharkiv and Pavlohrad as a local ceasefire began near the Russian-occupied town of Oleshky.
France’s government announced plans to overhaul its university admissions system after weeks of demonstrations over education, living costs and public services. Student leaders said they would keep protesting. Authorities reported 1,435 arrests during the latest weekend of unrest.
The government’s answer to riots: billions in renovation loans and a new admissions system. The storefronts may get fixed before the politicians figure out what went wrong.
China’s Communist Party opened a four-day leadership meeting in Beijing, with economic policy and party discipline on the agenda.
A U.N.-commissioned team of independent experts said a ceasefire has not stopped what it described as genocide in Gaza. The report included allegations of sexual assault in detention that the Associated Press said it could not independently corroborate. Israel has rejected genocide allegations.
Brazilian markets fell after President Lula’s reelection as investors weighed the country’s debt and economic outlook. Lula begins his fourth, nonconsecutive term in January.
Walter Koenig, best known as Pavel Chekov in the original “Star Trek” series and seven films, died at 90. His performance helped make the Enterprise feel like a crew people wanted to spend time with.

See you tomorrow. Same planet. The news cycle never learned to take a day off. 🌎
Meet the AXOLOTL. 🩷😂
This ridiculous little creature looks like a Pokémon that got electrocuted, has a permanent smile, and can actually regrow its own legs, tail, and even parts of its heart and brain.
Meanwhile, I sleep in the wrong position and can’t turn my neck for three days.
Nature clearly has favorites. 🤣

Yep, I ran into them too! 😂
Why are they ALWAYS so HIDEOUS?
I guess some people really do wear their souls on the outside.
Archaeologists may have discovered the world’s oldest shipwreck off the coast of Turkey.
4,500 years old. The ship is gone, but some of the cargo survived.

An Australian murderer serving a life sentence sued his prison because they wouldn’t let him have Vegemite.
He claimed it violated his human rights.
The judge had to remind him that being in prison is generally what limits your freedom. 🙄

When the Soros heir celebrates an election, you can be sure there's more to the story.
Let's look at who Alex Soros actually is.
He chairs the Open Society Foundations, the largest private political-philanthropy machine on the planet. His father put over $32 billion into it. Over three decades it has handed out more than 50,000 grants, over $24 billion, to NGOs, activist groups, media outlets, legal networks and "civil society" organizations in scores of countries. Its annual budget is still well over a billion dollars.
He also chairs Democracy PAC, the family's political war chest. This cycle alone it has poured more than $100 million into Democratic campaigns, making the Soros family the single largest individual donor of the 2026 midterms. Alex himself said he's "more political" than his father. Shortly after taking over, he was meeting with Schumer, Trudeau, and yes, Lula.
So no, this isn't a random guy cheering for democracy. This is the man who funds the ecosystem, celebrating the result.
Now look at what that ecosystem pushes. No one has bankrolled the open-borders movement like Open Society: migrant advocacy groups, legal challenges to every enforcement measure, NGOs lobbying for asylum without limits. In 2015 George Soros wrote, in plain words, that Europe should take in at least a million asylum seekers a year, for the foreseeable future. That's not a theory about them. That's their published program.
And here's the core problem with the "open society." A society open to everything is closed to nothing, including the forces that will dissolve it. No borders, no shared culture, no common identity, no confidence in its own history. That isn't openness. It's a civilization being asked to stop defending itself. Popper's idea was a society open to criticism. What they built is a society forbidden from saying no.
The West wasn't built by people who were ashamed of it. It was built by people who believed it was worth something: its law, its faith, its science, its freedom. Take that away and you don't get a global utopia. You get a vacuum. And vacuums get filled.
That's the fight we're in. It isn't left versus right. It's whether the West still believes it has the right to exist.
Win it, and we get a renaissance. Lose it, and the dark ages won't be a metaphor.
