Dan Patrick has drunk from the Trump Kool-Aid so that he can spit out the poison, division and name-calling without hesitation. At the Trump rally today he referred to “them” (Democrats running for statewide office) as Socialists, Communists and Marxists. When a politician like Patrick worries about losing his position of power he relies on the standbys—smear and fear.
