After realizing my mistake, I realized that adding one word would've probably lessened the misunderstanding. I disagree that Phrolova is TRUE evil. Why do I say this? People usually say that she is irredeemable, when in fact, she CAN be redeemed even though she hasn't redeemed herself YET. *Conscience* is what matters to have a redeemable character. Without conscience, there is nothing to steer them towards being good. She has a conscience and she has a heart. Phrolova felt sadness and sympathy for Mya when Cristoforo talked about her fate. She was the only one that was there for Denia when she was suffering, playing the violin for her to comfort her. She saved Verbia because she said a Father doesn't need to lose a daughter. After that, Verbia struck a deal with Phrolova. She then reshaped her body with Lumenstones and the Dark Tide to at least make her live a century. Phrolova sealed her father Aulus to wait for a true warrior that will grant him a final glorious death. Verbia: Who... are you? Phrolova: Does it matter? Verbia: Why did you... save me? Phrolova: A daughter just lost her father. There's no need for a father to lose his daughter too. "She is morally gray." To be honest I thought being both evil and good at the same time equates to being morally gray. That resulted in me saying that I disagree that she's evil, because she has both. But if I abide by this definition, then she is morally gray. After doing hours of research, perhaps I should've used another term instead of "morally gray". I think she is much closer to what we call a Tragic Anti-Villain. She is doing evil deeds out of necessity for her own goals, while still having a heart that can feel and have compassion. Phrolova said something to Rover about "compassion" being a jest to the Fractsidus, but deep within her heart she is compassionate herself. It may be a lie to Rover, or a lie to herself. She is evil to a degree, but not too much to the point that she forgets sympathy and empathy. What's good about Phrolova's character and story is that it's consistent and has nuance to it. Phrolova from 2.4 also foreshadowed her character in 2.5. She's still one of the best written characters in Wuthering Waves. Whether you disagree with me or not, just remember to be civil in the replies. It's just fiction. Also, people who don't play WuWa should stay out of this discussion.
