"The defender was an inch away from getting that" is exactly the attitude we need to eliminate from the sport. An inch closer he gets the D and possibly gets his ACL as well. The D is useless as it's a foul either way (whether he gets the D or not). This is where you don't bid.

What a smug and self-righteous tweet we have here. It was a close bid, on game point, in a gold medal game, resulting in a gentle foul. The defender was an inch away from getting that. You can dislike the contact, but you're disrespecting both teams with this overreaction.
