Replying to @CaolanReports
@CaolanReports does really good reporting from Ukraine, and I respect him for that. But in this case, I’m with @KyivIndependent.
The fact that Caolan edited out the logo doesn’t put him in a good light. Also, it’s not the first time he’s done that. There was a case involving a photo of a Ukrainian farmer from Suspilne news that Caolan used without credit.
When asked about it, he was toxic toward the Ukrainian journalist. So I think it’s important for pro-Ukraine voices to respect each other’s work 🤷♂️
What do you think?🤔

#Czechia: RSF calls on MPs to firmly reject the bill to replace licence fees with decreased funding from the state budget, a major threat to the independence of the country’s public media. The draft law, hastily tabled today by the ruling majority, runs counter to the European Media Freedom Act, which is binding for all EU states.

Ukrajinský ministr obrany Fedorov končí. Jedno z nejhorších rozhodnutí, které Zelenský za dobu války udělal. Obrovská chyba.

Killing Polish civilians is wrong.
Killing Ukrainian civilians is wrong.
AK is an important part of Polish history and their national struggle for independence.
UPA is an important part of Ukrainian history and our struggle for independence.
Ukrainians have a different view of history than Poles.
Ukrainians accept that Poles honour AK for their fight against the Nazis and the Soviets. (Not for killing Ukrainian civilians)
Poles should accept that Ukrainians want to honour UPA for their fight against the Nazis and Soviets. (Not for killing Polish civilians)
Both Poland and Ukraine should investigate and reconcile the history together as this period of history is riddled with 80 years of propaganda and misinformation.
That simple ladies and gentlemen. Act like adults.

Russia slaughtered over 25,000 predominantly Russian speakers in just Mariupol while levelling Russian speaking cities all across the East of Ukraine.
Evidently you can't make this shit up, "saving the Russian speakers" but clearly Lavrov can.

Russia threatened to do this if Ukraine attacked the May 9 parade on the Red Square. After Trump’s intervention on Putin’s behalf, Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire so Russia could hold the parade. Two weeks later, Putin unleashed the ballistic missile barrage on central Kyiv anyway.
Horrific. Morning footage from Kyiv Ukraine after Russia poured ballistic missiles on civilian neighborhoods, targeting apartment buildings, schools, markets, and bomb shelters full of people.

“If we are ever going to compete with Russia, we have to join up our tools: justice, investigative journalism, advocacy, and social media influencers,” says Peter Pomerantsev at the Lviv Media Forum.
Russia combines misinformation, social influence, bribery, and other tools. Democracies need to build their own unified toolkit.

Since 02.05.2014, russians have been melting down.
12 years ago they tried to seize Odesa.
Ukrainians pushed them back.
Pro-russian groups panicked, fled and torched their own building.
For years they blamed Ukraine.
This thread shows what actually happened.
