My first airplane fight was at an airshow aboard a Piper Cub and it cost 5 dollars. That was the day I was hooked on aircraft, best ride was on BA Concorde.

America is in for a busy spaceflight year next year. Not only is Artemis III happening alongside lunar landing milestones, but six brand-new rockets are also planning to make their debut flights. The real question is: Who will actually fly?
All these rockets have been delayed from their previously set targets, except for New Glenn 9x4 ,(only because it never had one); the longest delayed one is Rocket 4 which was supposed to debut 5 years earlier.
Neutron is one I find most interesting because, due to its delays, it has let Stoke Spaceās Nova catch up to potentially beat it to flying, as well as Terran R, which not only had a complete redesign but almost ran out of money at one point.
Which of these do you think will fly next year and who do you think will fly first?

Today we remember astronaut Ronald E. McNair, born OTD in 1950 in Lake City, South Carolina. McNair, a physicist, jazz saxophonist, and karate black belt, was selected as a NASA astronaut candidate in 1978 and flew his first shuttle mission in 1984.
He tragically perished in the Challenger accident on Jan. 28. 1986, yet his legacy of excellence, curiosity, and perseverance lives on.

BREAKING: The U.S. Space Force says America needs a THIRD major rocket launch range by 2030 as military and commercial launch demand accelerates.
Lt. Gen. Philip Garrant, commander of Space Systems Command, confirmed that the service has formed a planning team to evaluate a new spaceport capable of supporting medium- and heavy-lift rockets.
The expansion would supplement Cape Canaveral in Florida and Vandenberg in California, which face growing capacity constraints as SpaceX, Blue Origin and other operators increase launch activity.
The White House has projected that U.S. launch demand could reach 1,000 missions annually by 2030, approximately five times the 2025 level.
The Space Force is evaluating government-owned facilities, commercial property and public-private partnerships.
Garrant described the 2030 timeline as ambitious. No location or construction plan has been finalized.
A third launch range could provide additional capacity and redundancy for deploying military satellites during a crisis.

A Moon Base needs civil engineers among its astronauts. When excavation reveals unexpected ground, who inspects it and decides whether to continue work? Teleoperation can support the decision. The crew must include field judgment.

There's a lot of ground to cover when you're building a Moon Base.
During the first phase of @NASAMoonBase development, robotic rovers will gather new details about the lunar South Pole region, while lunar terrain vehicles will extend the reach of each Artemis mission.

Third pilot (extra pilot to allow for alternating shifts and rest) on our trip to SFO today. Always interesting to see how other pilots work from the jump seat, but I miss the flying part (no landings or take-offs for the third pilot). Back at it next flight though!
Anyway, we had a nice flight across Greenland. Then later on we passed the Rocky Mountains, and we even flew straight over Mount Rainier, which had an interesting weather phenomenon: a cap cloud forming just above the summit. I got Lord of the Rings vibes, for some reasonš
