Ok. Carrie (2026) Mike Flanagan took the girl who used to bleed in a locker room and dropped her into a school that already films everything. The feels of the original story adapted to modern times and themes. Think a Horror version of Mean Girls. Summer H. Howell is amazing in it. She plays Carrie like the humiliation arrives before the powers do, and the powers only show up because the room would not stop. Chris Hargensen is not just a Mean Girls queen with a better wardrobe. She has an Instagram account and a phone that turns one bad afternoon into a public sport. The pig’s blood is still coming. The comments get there first. Superb series. The modern version does not soften the story. It just gives the bullies better tools and then watches Carrie learn what they cost. I stayed for Howell. The rest of the school can keep the screens. The ending is amazing.
