Along with the usual crop of coaches and coordinators, a name expected to be in the mix in the NC State process is former star quarterback Philip Rivers. His son, Gunner Rivers, is a highly regarded quarterback recruit committed to play there in Class of 2027.

A day later, this is a done deal. The #Chargers are bringing back WR/returner Luke Grimm to the practice squad. Guess I had to be faster to beat his — checks notes — speed coach 🏃🏻💨 to this one.

Per sources former Kansas WR Luke Grimm is re-joining the LA Chargers. (the source is me seeing him take the call mid-workout then take his shoes off and leave😂)

#Chargers OT Rashawn Slater underwent successful ankle surgery yesterday in LA, a tight-rope procedure aimed at accelerating his return from a high-ankle sprain. Slater, who was injured in Sunday’s game vs the #Seahawks, will be placed on Injured Reserve and begin rehabbing.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing the Ditka family has announced the passing of Mike Ditka this morning. Da Coach. Hall of Famer. The heartbeat of the ’85 Bears and a Super Bowl champion. Chicago won’t be the same. Prayers to Diana and the family. RIP, Coach. 🐻⬇️ Here’s a statement from the family: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike Ditka. While the world knew Mike as a Hall of Fame football player, legendary coach, and leader of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX championship team, we knew him as the heart of our family. Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever. With love and gratitude, The Ditka Family

#Chargers Pro Bowl OT Rashawn Slater is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain based on the initial exams, sources say. He'll have an MRI this morning, but that's an injury that general takes several weeks to heal. A hit to the LAC OL.
