If I offer you a meal and you turn it down, I'm going to assume you don't need or don't want what I have to offer. The next time I have a meal to offer, I won't offer it to you for fear of rejection. I learned that lesson when I was a child. Take the meal and throw it in the trash if you don't want it. Just because you don't want the meal now doesn't mean you won't want the next one.
