Not often I agree with Thomas, but i believe he’s right on this. Just because your hot girlfriend dumped you for another guy doesn’t automatically make her a villain. Sometimes you’re the douche canoe and could have treated her better.

Go ahead and boo Quinn Hughes, but make no mistake, his #Canucks legacy should be celebrated. My column on ‘the Return’ unlocked for all to read: nytimes.com/athletic/7718797… via @TheAthleticNHL

Go ahead, boo Quinn Hughes, but his Canucks legacy should be appreciated (Gift Article)

In the annals of Canucks history, Hughes should be remembered differently than for simply being a villain who left.

Definitely a top 5 ‘This WAS the 90s’ song You just had to be there

Released in 1996 as the second single from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, “1979” became the Smashing Pumpkins' biggest American hit, reaching No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on both the Modern Rock Tracks and Mainstream Rock Tracks charts. The album was eventually certified 10× Platinum in the United States. “1979” was almost left off the album: producer Flood gave Corgan a final deadline to complete the unfinished song or remove it from the record. Corgan went home, finished the lyrics that night, and returned the next day with a new demo that convinced Flood to keep it. Billy Corgan wrote the track as a nostalgic reflection on adolescence and the transition into adulthood. Although the title refers specifically to the year Corgan was 12, the song is less a literal autobiography than an idealised reflection on what it felt like to be young.

NEW: 3 men convicted of brutally killing an Abbotsford couple get a HUGE break from BC Supreme Court Justice Brenda Brown. To her, the Criminal Code prescribing 25 years of parole ineligibility infringes upon their Charter rights guaranteeing against cruel & unusual punishment.

It really was a fun watch. Way better than the one that came out in the 90s. Killer soundtrack too!

Soundgarden released their third album, “Badmotorfinger” on this day in 1991. It has been publicly praised by Jimmy Page, Geezer Butler and Alex Lifeson. The opening track, “Rusty Cage” is my favourite. What are your thoughts on this album? Favourite tracks? #Soundgarden
