if a government agency ever tears me away from my family over a paperwork issue, my friends really don’t need to qualify every public statement about it with “i definitely continue to support this great, good agency and i know tyler does too.” you can just try to help me.

The thing about Mao Zedong was that he was not just a dictator. He was actually a f***ing idiot to such an extent that it would make Trump’s ridiculous claims of himself being a “stable genius” almost credible. Mao forced farmers to make steel out of farm tools and in small village furnaces, which left farmers with no tools to work the fields. He forced farmers to chase away insect-eating sparrows, which led yo locust-infested fields. Millions starved to death as a result. He thought that turning the population on itself in endless struggle was the path to proletariat prosperity - all it had done was to make more starve to death, loss of Chinese know-how across the board and China left on the brink of bankruptcy. His views on dental hygiene were so off the planet that he eschewed both “modern” or more traditional Chinese modes of dental care, to the point that his doctors and others all mention the rotting stench that emanated from his mouth. Not all dictators are idiots - Deng Xiaoping was a dictator but not an idiot. But Mao excelled himself in his idiotmaxxing, more a buffoonish Idi Amin than a dangerously bright Emperor Kangxi.

A no bill is something that should happen like, once or twice in a prosecutor's career. Lately, it's weekly.
DOJ sought an indictment against Cassidy Hutchinson for her Jan. 6 testimony but the grand jury refused to indict, WaPo reports. Gift link: wapo.st/4yPWbRx

There are millions of Americans who now believe that if a Republican candidate loses that means the election was rigged. I've talked to these people. Trump has done more damage to the trust in elections and democracy than anybody else in our 250 years and it's not close.
Q: You'll respect the election results whatever happens? TRUMP: If they're honest elections (That's a no!)

Literally everyone said that
As an older millennial that was a teenager for these movies, I do not remember anybody saying the prequels sucked at the time. That was social media revisionism by nerdy edgelords on social media 10 years later. Episode I is a masterpiece (and Empire is still my favorite)

it is kind of funny that Trump is in favor of literally every bad thing in the world
Donald Trump says "artificial intelligence" is a very bad and inaccurate name" and wants to replace it with "super intelligence." "In short order, we will be officially BANNING the term, ‘AI/Artificial Intelligence,’ in all relevant documents, and everything else, due to its inaccuracy. Thank you for your attention to this matter." variety.com/2026/digital/new…

Many Western nations managed to "uplift farmers and the working class" without killing upwards of 30 million of them. We did this, generally, without empowering student mobs to trash all the history we now claim we're proud of, and without massacring the wealthy and the educated on the altar of cultural revolution. One of the many ironies of the modern Chinese nationalist is that, were it not for generals countermanding the Red Guard, the evidence they claim for their greatness would have been totally destroyed by Mao's own faction. We have no equivalent of Mao's campaign against the Four Olds, having largely gotten over iconoclastic religious hysteria in medieval times. We never went around killing sparrows to avert famine (which caused a surge in locusts that made famine worse) — of all our many retarded leaders, none have been so retarded as that. Our war heroes did not hide in mountains waiting for the Kuomintang to do all their fighting for them, only to emerge and claim credit after the fact. The Communists are not war heroes. They drove the war heroes out of the country they fought to save. We have managed to make modern nations of citizens, not subjects; and our technological prowess today is the product of invention, not theft. We have empowered our ethnic and religious minorities, almost to a fault, while the Chinese government locks them up in camps that we consider horrors. As is usually the case, Communist doctrines of "colonialism" and "imperialism" - the latter a Leninist propaganda trick designed to save Marxism from all its failed predictions - are spread today to spare Communism the shame of its own deeds. And we are able (and even encouraged) to criticise our most important leaders and heroes, while the Communist Party apparatchik must debase his own intellect before he is allowed to speak. China does have a rich and wonderful history. Mao created none of it, and destroyed much of it. The fat ass of his legacy squats on what remains.
To us Chinese, Mao Zedong is our hero. Mao uplifted farmers and the working class in China, united the Chinese people, led us to defeat foreign invaders, and founded an independent country so we could all live with dignity. Mao supported the heroic struggle of the African people against imperialism and colonialism. He was one of the greatest leaders in world history, and one of the most demonized by the West.

Sorry ma’am but I’m not planning to risk jail time based on my ability to “read the room”
Why don’t men understand that sometimes a girl says stop because she wants you to take the lead? We were making out on the bed, MUMU tried reaching for my pants, and I told him to stop. I wasn’t even struggling with him. This CLOWN actually stopped and ruined my whole mood. DOG , YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO READ THE ROOM.

Here’s a periodic reminder that if you played a role in subjecting my country to a decade of Donald Trump, I hate that you did that and I hate it more every time I see more of the idiocy you forced on my country by whitewashing and cheerleading the least fit modern president
President Trump said today that the US Government will be officially banning the term AI/Artificial Intelligence due to its inaccuracy.

TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

It is buck wild watching Christians get Flannery O'Connor's icicle of justice and actually notice other humans exist for the first time. It's like they're all Tracy Jordan in the 30 Rock bit where he didn't realize all women had parents until he had a daughter.

Don't you think it's weird that China stopped doing Maoism the second he died. Like literally the first thing they did was arrest his wife.
Read like half an hours worth of actual history on Mao Zedong (not written by a conservative/yank), and you’ll probably realise he is one of the greatest humans to have ever lived by the end of the night.
