Labour dithers. The SNP speaks with a forked tongue: claiming to support oil and gas workers while obstructing the investment their jobs depend on.
Why keep importing oil and gas while driving investment away from our own North Sea?
Back Rosebank. Back new drilling. Workers and their families are paying the price for Labour’s indecision and the SNP’s hypocrisy.
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has told @BBCBreakfast that she doesn't believe there are enough clean energy reserves available for the UK to stop using gas and oil

The Scottish Legal Aid Board says it doesn’t know how many migrants or asylum seekers receive taxpayer-funded legal aid because immigration status is “not relevant”.
Taxpayers might take a different view.
SNP ministers are accountable for the Board’s use of public money. They should demand clear reporting on the numbers receiving support and the cost.
The Conservatives will leave the ECHR and end the merry-go-round of appeals to restore control around immigration.

Either the people who organised this meeting and approved its publication don’t understand the significance of 11am on 11th November, or they have deliberately chosen to disregard Remembrance Day for political reasons.
Given that those responsible at @TowerHamletsNow are paid from the public purse, it is only right that we expose this decision to the cold light of day and get to the bottom of it.

I agree with @NavyLookout - with frigate availability set to worsen further "The only credible solution is to speed up the delivery of Type 26 and Type 31s."
That's exactly what @KemiBadenoch and I first proposed back in May, using the cash from Labour's stalled Chagos deal to fund the plan.
So it's disappointing to learn from @NavyLookout that the Government have rejected this idea.
With the Budget looming, the Chancellor needs to think again and finally set out a clear path to 3%.

The growing threat to our national security must be taken seriously. Britain must rearm to defend the peace.
@KemiBadenoch and the @Conservatives are the only party with a serious plan: defence spending at 3% of GDP by 2030, paid for through welfare reform and changes to spending priorities.
The danger is real. We must face it and act. Delay puts our country at risk.

It’s not been a great week for confidence in energy system.
On Monday, NESO was exposed as having a culture and management that prevented workers from speaking out or reporting the truth of the massive strain the drive towards a ‘net zero’ grid was putting on the ability to keep lights on.
Yesterday, OFGEM admitted that, due to Labour’s accelerated decline in gas flows from the North Sea, they couldn’t guarantee there would be enough gas on the system on peak days this winter and proposed buying more form Europe to top up at much higher cost.
And today, NESO admit the chance of electricity blackouts has increased for the first time since the start of the Ukraine conflict.
Labour’s management of our energy system is criminal. Clean Power 2030, Net Zero 2050 are making this country more vulnerable and putting us at risk.
We need to change. This is not the Right Way.

Hamas is a terrorist organisation. Its so-called “political wing” is part of that same organisation. The distinction Ross Greer draws is a fiction.
Mass murder. Hostage-taking. Terror. Its political leaders defend these atrocities, and Greer wants their wing stripped of its terrorist designation. That is an obscene position for an elected politician to take.
This exposes the extremism at the heart of the Scottish Greens. And these are the people Swinney and the SNP continue to court for support.

RT @HarrietCross_MP: 7 days ago, the Prime Minister made a speech about his plans for regional devolution in Scotland.
It was full of ideas…
The wheels are already coming off Ivan McKee’s grand SNP plans for public service reform.
Sweeping proposals to turn Scotland’s public services upside down, but precious little detail, no convincing vision and no credible explanation of how things will actually improve.
Rearranging the bureaucracy isn't reform.
Big ambitions. Bigger questions. Very few answers.

Same old Labour. Same old trade union puppet masters.
Back in Downing Street with their demands. Those who pay the piper call the tune, as usual.
And taxpayers and businesses are left paying the bills they rack up.
The infamous 'beer and sandwiches' were replaced by 'cheap unbranded' biscuits and tea: Inside the pre-Budget No 11 backdoor summit between union barons and the Chancellor trib.al/LESLUKA
SNP ministers cannot say how many convicted sex offenders have grounds to appeal following a Supreme Court ruling, according to @kacnutt in today’s @heraldscotland .
For victims who have already endured the ordeal of a trial, the prospect of their case being reopened could be deeply distressing.
Each case must be assessed individually. But ministers have questions to answer.
How many convictions could be affected? Are there enough resources to deal with these reviews promptly? What information and support will victims receive?
Victims are entitled to clear answers. Ministers must provide them.

Food price caps are a ridiculous idea.
The SNP had no idea how they’d work when they announced them (during the election campaign…), they’d no idea of what unintended consequences might be, and they still have no idea on these now.
But they did gave them a great opportunity to pick a fight with Westminster, to point fingers at businesses and to divert attention from their long list of other failures.
A classic dead cat strategy.

Given that our Government is preparing households for what may lie ahead (images from Sweden’s “warbook”), wouldn’t it be a good idea to deliver the funding and reforms that would deter and prevent much of it happening. A war would cost us 50% of GDP. It’s 5% to prevent one.
