I am appalled to learn about this Rosie. I knew things were bad, but how can he be deemed an appropriate Chair for this? This looks like state interference in the future rights of parents &their children. Ps-You are a trooper!
I want you all to know this. There are 650 MPs in Parliament. Yet the one MP chosen by @UKLabour to Chair the Bill Committee for the controversial, dangerous and dismally bad draft legislation, the Conversion Practices Bill, is Alex Barros-Curtis. Until July 2024, when Alex was given a very safe Labour seat in Cardiff, he was the Head of the Labour Party's Governance and Legal Unit in London. This was a department set up to investigate complaints against members of the Labour Party. Complaints of antisemitism, Islamophobia, abuse, and of course latterly, mostly women holding legally-protected 'Gender Critical' (sex realist) beliefs. Alex oversaw the investigation of hundreds of members who liked or tweeted gender critical or feminist views. I was one of them. He investigated me, as a sitting Labour MP, for 13 months. 13 months to 'investigate' one like of one tweet. I had a great lawyer, one of the names we're all now familiar with, and I had to crowdfund to pay for his (excellent) work. They first tried in 2020. But the screenshots crudely attached to that passive aggressive, threatening-sounding email from LP admin staff were so risible that I replied that it was too ridiculous for me to waste my precious time on. They left it. Years of Starmer bumbling and stuttering through interviews about whether he had spoken to me, whether he supported me, etc followed. My feminist sins continued apace. And then I 'liked' a tweet by my GC comedian friend @Glinner. He had mocked Eddie'Suzy' for comparing his choice to wear traditional women's clothing, fake plastic breasts and nails, to those being persecuted by the Nazis during WWII. I found his sarcasm, as a award-winning comedy writer in the face of such offensive narcissism amusing and so 'liked' it. I found it absurd and obscene that Izzard, an extremely privileged and wealthy man, who openly changed his 'gender' at will, should write himself into history falseley as someone who would have been oppressed due to a circumstance beyond his control. We all know the groups who were tortured, starved and killed... There is obviously more to my story, I will tell it all, it's just one chapter of the years of spiteful abusive and bullying practices meted out to me by the Labour Party managers. Not those who'd achieved office on merit, or even unexpectedly, but those in the club, often having failed to be elected themselves. So Barros-Curtis who we were repeatedly told led 'the many *independent* inquiries into women members and MPs like me, now often stands as a trans-rights activist on the Labour backbenches. He has also been gifted the role of Chair of this Committee and is a huge supporter of this Bill. And I am not a part of the Bill Committee, although plenty of TRA MPs are. Does that sound like the democratic scrutiny of legislation to you?

I would go further. This bill will tear families apart and it will cast the shadow of criminal law across every kitchen table where a distressed teenager is having difficult conversions with mum and dad. This isn’t gay rights. This is tyranny.
Dennis , Helen and Dermot packed a lot into the time they were given, highlighting just how dangerous and badly thought through this bill is. It will harm children and families.

Good luck to our brave and articulate soldiers, @HJoyceGender and @Jebadoo2, who are giving evidence on the evil Conversion Practices draft Bill in parliament today. Thank you 💪

I’m devastated to wake and read Tommy Robinson has been found guilty and will be jailed ***He has relentlessly pursued justice for vulnerable women and girls where all others have stayed SILENT*** Rupert Lowe nails it: “The entire establishment is against him. My view is this - he has done more than any politician to uncover the rape gangs, and for that I thank him” A very dark day for the UK
I have always respected Tommy Robinson for his work on the rape gangs - he gave evidence to our inquiry, and it was remarkable to hear his level of knowledge. It contributed massively to our findings. Tommy was fair and balanced. I learnt a lot. He has not been treated fairly by our establishment for many years, and today is the latest example of that. To be honest, I believe it is a disgrace. He was right on the rape gangs. The state was wrong. They want to vilify him for that. The media, the justice system, Labour, the Tories, Farage. It was made very clear to me when I was in Reform that I was not to praise Tommy Robinson publicly. I did regardless. The entire establishment is against him. My view is this - he has done more than any politician to uncover the rape gangs, and for that I thank him.

This apology from disability charity Scope, for cancelling my choir’s London Marathon performance because of my gender-critical views, is required to stay on its website for seven days. Today is Day 6. Women don’t always get the apologies they deserve. So I’d be grateful if you could help make sure this one is seen by sharing it over the next 24 hours (link below). 🙏 Thanks again to @SpeechUnion for supporting my legal case and helping secure this apology.

“For trans-identifying children this will be a slow-motion disaster. Their parents are the only people who stand between them and ideas that at best seriously interrupt their normal psychological and social development and at worst put them on the path to irreversible physical harm and lifelong medicalisation.” @HJoyceGender has written an excellent new piece on the draft Conversion Practices Bill. Link in our replies. ⬇️

Years ago, I was extremely naive about what Antifa were before being nearly killed by them. Today, I see people have the same ignorance about the radical trans agenda, which also seeks to destroy rights through the use of violence and intimidation disguised as a civil rights movement. I write about this in my new book. amazon.com/Zizians-Inside-Tr…
“Antifa claimed to protect and defend people of color from racists. I did not think that they would even attack a journalist, a journalist of color.” @MrAndyNgo, son of refugees from Vietnam, was beaten in Portland and hospitalized with a brain bleed. His story 👇

I can confirm that @wsusportsunion's solicitors have written to @parkrun to point out that they are breaking the law. We do NOT want parkrun to be 'less inclusive', we want fairness for women and for the female category to be protected.

I AM A MUSLIM. I AM A ZIONIST. AND I MAKE NO APOLOGIES! This message is for those who seem to get stomach pains every time I declare myself a Muslim Zionist. Those who endlessly question my beliefs, challenge my identity, and desperately try to prove that a Muslim cannot be a Zionist. Let me make myself absolutely clear. I proudly support Israel. I fully support the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and their mission to defend Israel and protect its citizens. I support the fight against Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime, and every radical Islamist terrorist organization threatening Israel and the free world. I have lived under Islamic extremism. I know what these ideologies do to societies, minorities, women, and freedom. My Islam does not command me to hate Jews. My conscience does not permit me to excuse terrorism. I don't need anyone's permission to be a Zionist. I don't need lectures about my own religion. STOP TRYING TO CONVERT ME TO YOUR POLITICAL BELIEFS. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN. I stand with Israel, the Jewish people, and the IDF. Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow. Unapologetically. I am not asking for your approval. I am telling you where I stand. END OF DISCUSSION. I can’t stress enough how many women and girls will never forgive this shit.
🚨EXCLUSIVE🚨 Parents have come forward to allege that girls at a California high school faced sexual harassment after a boy who identified as transgender joined their volleyball team. "He would ask whether they had tried different sexual positions..." reduxx.info/exclusive-male-p…

For years, activists have claimed it is racist to break down sex crime statistics by nationality. This is nonsense. It should surprise no one that men from cultures in which women are treated as subordinate are convicted of sexual offences at disproportionately high rates.

It’s ironic that people who have spent their entire political lives thinking they’re “fighting the fash” don’t understand that they’re on the same side.
🧵 This is the most important thread I will ever write. Its been carefully researched and every claim is cited. It portrays the shocking reality that the current left-wing "anti zionist" movement uses identical rhetoric to the British far-right going back decades. 1/24

ANTHROPIC'S IPO DOCUMENTS ARE CALMING DOWN THE MARKETS. None of the numbers released today are that different from what we heard last week, but now we know how much cash they have. Anthropic has $120B in cash and is likely raising $100B on the IPO. They are then likely going to be raising another $100B in debt, $60B of it already financed by BlackStone. If you assume a 3x in ARR, which probably is low considering how much the street wants them to grow, this company should have around $300-$400B in cash. This also doesn't take into account the future ATMs they might engage in. So, the reason AI stocks are getting some relief right now is because it seems like Anthropic will have enough cash to pay their bills, which obviously is good for $NVDA, $SPCX, $AMD, $AVGO, $MU, and many other players. However, there are going to be 24 separate unlocks in 2027. Those are going to be days where the market has to deal with a massive amount of supply coming onto the market. The company effectively has unilateral control, not shareholders, on deciding to pause or slow down the release of models. The open-weight models continue to be a threat as more enterprises are seeing the value in owning their AI for a significantly cheaper cost. Anthropic has outlined all these risks in the S1. Regardless on if you are buying the IPO, it seems like there is enough cash they can raise to continue paying their bills and making sure the downstream value flows into most of the semis...if the market changes their mind on that or Anthropic stalls in growth, those names get hit. But if the company keeps growing and raises cash, the money should be there to fund the semis...it's now a question on how much of a risk people want to take in actually owning the stock.
