It's so hard to explain to young terminally online rap fans that nobody knew or cared about madlib and dilla for decades except us underground nerds. Madlib's biggest look was alkaholiks album cuts. Dilla's was busta/pharcyde/tribe and still, most people didnt read credits.

When I was a teen & 1st learned some Jewish people supported & voted 4 Nazis, & even helped round up other Jews in the ghetto, I didn’t want to believe it. As I’ve matured, I realized all groups have people who’ll betray their own 2 rise, except they 2 aren’t spared in the end.
This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Our politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety.
It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.
In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.
