He does not play… and he’s exponentially better at off the cuff speaking than Trump.
Obama 🔥: "The president wasn't even mad about the Saddam Hussein comparison! That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about the Cheesecake Factory comments. He took great umbrage. The mobilized a whole of government response to that joke! They told the Treasury Secretary to hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory. This really happened."
Ann Arbor alone will kind of overwhelm that, as well as counties north of Detroit.
Jewish adults make up about 1.4% of Michigan’s population.

Eisenkot isn’t going to join Netanyahu… or he’s not going to have a career in the future if he caves now.
That’s all folks. It’s so over

Honestly he didn’t do this many rallies back to back in 2016 even (another proof of desperation). There is the possibility that the fun of having a bunch of gullible hicks bray at his every utterance has grown boring even to him. On that theory he could just check out of doing most of the job at the end of November. Bored, disengaged Trump would be a whole new level of crazy for everyone.
We may be witnessing Donald Trump's farewell tour - as he croaks through speech in 'Trump country' Texas
The most striking thing about Trump's appearance at last night's rally in Lubbock, Texas was that he looks very, very tired. He's running on fumes. His voice is permanently hoarse and he's peppering his speech with complaints that he has to be on the campaign trail at all.

Number one’s anarchy sounds much more manufactured than number 2. Also, the key part strikes me as “outstretched hand” - Arab Israelis have all but said “please, we can work it out just talk to us.” Much more productive than any conversation with Netanyahu.
But that’s a fantasy. In reality, no government.
Either:
1. Eisenkot, Bennet, Lieberman, Golan take Israeli Arabs' outstretched hand and replace Netanyahu. Settlers, hard-right, haredim won't recognize this gov't. Anarchy.
2. Eisenkot, Bennet, Lieberman take Netanyahu's outstretched hand and boycott Golan, hard-right, Arabs & Haredim (~50% of Israelis and growing fast). Anarchy.
So anarchy.

I am in Clayton County, Georgia and have been talking to older Black voters outside a polling place and ahead of this Obama rally and can confirm: older Black voters to a tee are FURIOUS about the Supreme Court killing the Voting Rights Act. This is the home of John Lewis, Hosea Williams and MLK Jr.
The problem is… a large chunk of Netanyahu’s bloc doesn’t care what the world thinks - which ties the hands of a lot of other politicians who don’t want to gin up mass outrage over including Arabs internally… but understand that will disappoint the western world.
Not. Gonna. Happen.
Gadi Eisenkott accepts that there should not be another election in April because so many turned out to vote yesterday, but he doesn’t want to go into coalition with Netanyahu as he promised his voters he would do so.
According to @KastelMoti at Channel
14, President Herzog will try and convince Eisenkott to join Netanyahu, on the basis he resigns in two years, and receives a full pardon from the President for the three indictments against him.
Last election was Netanyahu riding war wave (and even then, there was a lot of criticism); he was never going to sustain that but as my sister said - he really hollowed out Likud and cast his lot with far right orthodox. There’s no there there when you’re not even trying to find a winning coalition.

💥Read Anshel Pfeffer to the end: "Netanyahu didn’t invent discrimination against Arab Israelis. It goes back to the pre-state era. But Netanyahu turned it into his personal political project starting with his first elections as head of the Likud, in 1996, when he took Arthur Finkelstein’s advice to brand his base as "Jews" and not "Israelis," and on election day he approved the Lubavitch "Netanyahu is good for the Jews" campaign. We remember his "Hordes of Arabs are flocking to the polls video," but that’s just one milestone in a long saga. In his wisdom, Netanyahu doesn’t seek to strip Arab Israelis of their rights. They’re free to vote and be elected. Instead, through ongoing delegitimization, he empties that right of all meaning, until voting is perceived as a threat to the state’s security and the very presence of Arab representatives in the Knesset becomes irrelevant to any coalition consideration. The success of this project to erase Arab representation is so perfect that even many of Netanyahu’s opponents accept it without question."

If you keep telling people that the Iranian nuclear program is completely obliterated, annihilated, destroyed, decimated, etc. and then turn around and cite that nuclear program as a reason for why you need to continue or restart military operations, the American public will conclude you’re full of it.
I’ll grant that the results of this will be an early indicator of “merely good” vs “disastrous for Republicans”… but I wouldn’t call either outcome all that clear just yet.
