This was my Ziaire conclusion as well He can certainly still do it ... but at his new weight he's looking more and more like a wing defender and guarding 3's up to 4's and switching onto 2/1's as needed Rather than guarding down to 3/2/1

I wanted Marcus Smart in the 2014 NBA Draft. I absolutely loved him on the Lakers last year. But I think it's absolutely nasty that he waited all this time (one day before the Lakers press day) to say he felt the larger Lakers offer was "disrespectful." He knows the Lakers fanbase and this is peak ragebaiting. Don't fall for it. I think the Lakers offered him the most $ this summer, but he had a different valuation of himself and took a lesser offer to join Udoka and go to Texas. We move.

People complaining about the contracts that LeBron, Rui or Marcus Smart received don’t realize that is not the price that they wanted from the Lakers. Smart basically confirmed the Lakers offered a higher price than what the rockets did yet he took the lesser amount. He was never willing to go to the Lakers for that price.
