Over the next two weeks, I’m examining something I’ve studied independently for nearly 20 years: mass media, social engineering, misinformation, and the manipulation of public perception.
We’re entering an era where synthetic media, AI generated content, algorithmic amplification, and coordinated messaging are changing how society consumes information.
The consequences go beyond politics.
They affect how we understand our neighbors, what we fear, what we trust, and which issues dominate public conversation.
Meanwhile, real concerns about privacy, constitutional rights, economic security, and accountability compete for attention.
This is one reason I’m building REAX MEDIA.
I believe authentic human expression and independent thought need a stronger place in the future of media.
Over the next 14 days, I’ll share videos, public records, historical examples, research, and personal experiences examining how narratives are created, repeated, and amplified.
One upcoming investigation will examine Meta’s controversial commercial terms taking effect October 30 and what they mean for businesses, creators, publishers, and website owners.
This isn’t about asking anyone to adopt my politics.
It’s about questioning what we consume, understanding how information influences us, and examining the evidence before forming conclusions.
Because when people can no longer trust the information they consume or the people around them, communities suffer.
And protecting that human connection matters.
So here’s the question:
Who decides what deserves our attention, and how much of that decision are we actually making for ourselves?
This WH and its treatment of the press has come to its lows. Everyday they embarrass the office. Insulting members of the press became normalized? Why do we accept this?

Let’s give credit where credit is due.
Investigative journalist @JayKollsKSTP of KSTP was reporting on Minnesota’s childcare funding problems long before Nick Shirley went viral.
On January 28, 2025, Kolls reported that Minnesota DHS already had 62 active childcare investigations. He documented 95 licensing violations at Quality Learning Center between 2019 and 2023, identified $7.8 MILLION in government payments since 2019, and personally visited the facility multiple times.
That was 11 MONTHS before Shirley’s viral video.
Hey @NickShirleyy, why not publicly acknowledge and thank Jay Kolls for investigating the very facility that helped make you famous?
And to the White House: Why celebrate Shirley without recognizing the journalists, investigators, and prosecutors whose work preceded his?
Here’s the irony: KSTP is an ABC affiliate. The claim that mainstream media ignored Minnesota’s childcare problems is contradicted by its own reporting.
Jay Kolls deserves recognition for his original reporting. Shirley brought renewed national attention, but the underlying problems and investigations were already public.
An Oval Office invitation doesn’t rewrite the historical record.
Publicity isn’t discovery. Going viral doesn’t make you first.
Give credit where it’s due.

Trump ran on cutting taxes.
But once tariffs are counted, his policies are raising taxes and costs this year for every income group except the richest 1%, per a new report from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy.
The reason: tariffs, which are largely passed on to consumers as higher prices, outweigh the tax cuts for most Americans.
Even the right-leaning Tax Foundation calls the tariffs the largest U.S. tax increase as a share of GDP since 1993.

Mom, let me explain something to you.
ICE investigates human trafficking, child exploitation, and dangerous criminals. Without ICE, the very people who pose a threat to your daughter would face one less obstacle.
You can walk down that street holding your little girl’s hand, seemingly without a care in the world, while law enforcement works to keep dangerous people off our streets.
And you’re teaching your daughter to hate them.
She’s too young to understand immigration policy. She doesn’t understand what that sign means. But she’s learning that repeating Mommy’s political opinions gets attention and applause.
Your daughter deserves a childhood, not a starring role in your political activism.

Well I tried to make some changes and get the best version of my app submitted and my demo crashed multiple times during the recording and missed the deadline for @colosseum worlds fair. So not eligible for anything and seems like a waste to submit it now knowing I will probably not even get judged.
No advice to share. Just not afraid to share failures, and this might be the worst so far Just feel empty I let myself down. Ive been more focused on beta testing than having a hackathon entry and turned out to just feel twice as bad I couldn’t get it submitted on time.. Guess I have to sleep this off and get back to work.
