Trump’s betrayal of Ukraine and all of Europe is reaching ever-greater proportions. The United States and Russia have discussed a comprehensive package of potential economic agreements, reports Alex Raufoglu, a correspondent for Radio Liberty. Specifically, the parties addressed the sale of Russian diesel, the foreign assets of the company Lukoil, and potential gas supplies to Europe via the Nord Stream pipeline. Other topics of discussion included U.S. participation in the Russian oil project Sakhalin-1, the supply of Russian titanium, the export of potash fertilizers, and the restoration of access to Russian airspace for American airlines. Furthermore, the talks covered potential U.S. involvement in the expansion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure in Alaska—to be financed in part by frozen Russian assets—as well as the transfer of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to the administration of a third party, with the electricity generated subsequently being divided between Ukraine and Russia. The correspondent notes that these proposals do not necessarily constitute finalized agreements.
