“The DCU is just an alternate universe; we can enter at any location or time and tell THAT story. I dislike the idea that individual stories aren’t meaningful unless they lead to something else. Another piece of evidence for my pet theory that nobody really knew what the hell was going on in 2024, millions of people just meme'd themselves into forgetting who Trump was. The electoral equivalent of waking up feeling horrible after a bender.
This piece on the massive shift of young voters back to Democrats (or against Republicans) has a quote from a 23-year-old Latino guy who voted for Trump in 2024 that captures how so many young voters feel right now: "I just don't know what I was thinking."

Real talk it’s probably gonna be low 70s. *Miiiight* bump up to 75% but I don’t see it going any higher than that. The movie will be “too much fun” and carried hard by a theater experience for the score to be much lower than that but when you actually pay attention it’s dreadful

Several things really work and so many other things are so bizarrely paced and executed. Carol and Monica’s arcs feel like afterthoughts and Kamala doesn’t really get one at all. Villain is just awful. Movie really wants us to care about Genocide World™️ for some reason.

This movie is so fascinating in how it very rightfully aims for something much simpler and yet still ends up feeling like it has undiagnosed ADHD. Post-2019 Marvel’s event horizon in terms of D+ and rushing to new characters. Should’ve been an easy slam dunk.
Season 3 of Castlevania sucks shit but I do constantly think about that part where Trevor’s getting his shit rocked by the monster, so he starts dual wielding whips and going fucking crazy until the monster blows up
