I was lucky enough to see this terrifically enjoyable play last night. If it comes to a theatre near you, don't miss it. This review is spot on: everything-theatre.co.uk/202…

Just watched @RedPrinceplay. A very funny hour, with Labour properly skewered but all Parties taking some decent blows. Tomorrow is the last night but I’m pretty sure it will be back.

Hugely enjoyed @RedPrinceplay tonight, a funny and painfully accurate dramatisation of the Starmer epoch. Running for another week at the Lion & Unicorn, Kentish Town.

Went to see The Red Prince last night, a one man play about a Class of 24 Starmerite MP falling into a slough of disillusionment and despond. It felt, familiar.
Good though!

A strong recommend from me for this one man comedy about a newly elected Labour MP, running at the Lion & Unicorn theatre in London’s Kentish Town for two weeks until March 7th. I’ve read the script and I laughed a lot!

A brilliant new comic play @RedPrinceplay opens this week in Kentish Town. Thursday 26th Feb is a big night.
Gareth Roberts describes the play “Politics and fun are reunited - in the best traditions of Yes Minister and The Thick Of It - in this astute and very, very funny show. A laugh packed night - gag after gag after gag!”
Ed Bye (Director, Bottom, Red Dwarf, Ab Fab) said “This play is an absolute BLAST!”

One man.
One constituency office.
Wondering how he got here - and how the hell he gets out.
And things are about to get a lot worse…

THE RED PRINCE
24th February - 7th March 2026
The Lion & Unicorn Theatre
Craig Kitman MP didn’t sign up for this.
It’s been 18 months since Labour’s “loveless landslide” swept him into Parliament. 18 months of voting for things he doesn’t understand. Constituents he can’t help. Abuse. Failure. Late-night drinking sessions.
And so we find him.
One man. One constituency office. Wondering how he got here - and how the hell he gets out.
Then, terrier-like journo Abi McCormack calls. Things are about to get a lot worse...
THE RED PRINCE is a comedy about loneliness, inadequacy, and the people we elect to run our country.
It’s about what happens when the system selects for emptiness - and what these empty men do when no one’s watching.
It’s also about cushions full of cash, pickled onion Space Raiders, and the going rate for human connection in Greater Manchester.
Craig Kitman is not a bad man. He’s just not up to it.
Then again - who is?
Written by Tim Dawson.
Directed by Susan Nickson.
Performed by Benjamin May.
