Les Misérables has meant the world to me ever since I first saw it 20 years ago, it has felt more like home than some homes I’ve lived in, and tonight feels like a betrayal. It breaks my heart, and it’s been a pretty shit day already anyway. Sad times, @lesmisofficial.

The fact that they’re going to replace the original, genius production of @lesmisofficial with the disposable, generic anniversary take on it is just shameful. At age 9, I was a fan as soon as the convicts and later the poor stepped out of the fog, as soon as the stage rotated.

I remembered the iconic look and style and atmosphere of it for ten years before seeing it again in 2009 in the West End. The disrespect. Smh.
How dare you ask for unity in 'working together' now and not when faced with racism and bigotry and scapegoating?
If you do and if you're asking for constructiveness now you're ignoring the destruction that has already happened to marginalised groups.
Don't act like the country is in turmoil due to people who protest and who fear the impact the 'brexit' is going to have on their lives...
The damage is young people who overwhelmingly demand and need a future in the EU being shut out of it due to the 60+ voters.
The damage is the decades-long Irish peace process being sabotaged in the most negligent manner. theguardian.com/commentisfre…
The damage is the non-white and the non-British population being threatened and attacked and marginalised, and society accepting it.
The damage was done by Cameron who called for this referendum out of laziness and carelessness, and by those who managed the campaigns.
The damage was done by those who didn't care about what the vote meant, who only bothered to check the NEXT day.
The damage was done by those who used and furthered racism and xenophobia as a campaign tool, supporting the voices of white supremacists.
The damage isn't done by people who point out the problems, who call for a 2nd referendum or by Scotland & NI considering to leave the UK...

The 'leave' campaign won by emphasising differences and division, they actively supported discrimination and othering people.
