So I don't think it's proper to make any kind of conclusory statements about what's going to happen in the future, because I have no idea what's going to happen in the future.” ‘It is not DOJ's intention to, and it's never our intention to, improperly interfere with elections or the state confirmation process or certification process… To say that there's no circumstances that we would ever do that, of course I'm not going to say that. But am I planning my days around the election to be somewhere to not certify? Of course not. No, not at all.” Not sure how you can CERTIFY the election results in California when they have 20K noncitizen voters on their rolls that RECEIVED ballots.

Attorney General Todd Blanche: “Well, so some states are complying, but what we're going to do if they don't comply is we want to work with the states. We're not trying to, it's not our desire to go to court every time something happens or doesn't happen. And so we're hopeful that states, when they look at the Supreme Court's decision and the requests that DHS is making, that the DOJ doesn't have to get involved.” “The only time it becomes a DOJ issue is if we have to represent DHS in court. So we're hopeful that that process works its way out with DHS… If it doesn't, we'll go from there… as the Supreme Court has said, we're operating within laws that Congress passed that have existed for a long time.” The fact that MOSTLY Democrat states REFUSE to hand over their voter rolls should be CONCERNING to every American. Why is it controversial that ONLY Americans should VOTE in American elections?

And then we have to justify why we did things… When we make decisions about when to do something overt or covert and it happens to be an elected official or somebody that could have a role with an election, that's one of the factors we take into account.” “I can tell you unequivocally that the decision to seek a search warrant had nothing to do with what's happening in November… This is something that a judge reviewed and a judge took into consideration. And so it isn't the Attorney General or Director Patel or HSI, Markwayne Mullin, making a decision on our own. It's going to a judge and having a judge authorize it. So that's what we did.”

Reporter: “[DHS Secretary] Mullin said that you briefed the president after the search of Ilhan Omar. Why would he have any role in that investigation? Why would he need to be informed about the search of a congresswoman's home?” Attorney General Todd Blanche: “Secretary Mullin said that I briefed the president?” Reporter: “President Trump was briefed.” Todd Blanche: “I didn't brief the president. Why does the president have a role in learning about something that's on the front page of every paper in the country? I think I don't know who or what was said to the president about the search or that it was done, but it certainly doesn't surprise me that— I mean, he's been asked about it, I think, in every press gaggle and press briefing since it happened. So the fact that he was educated about whatever he was educated about, that shouldn't surprise anybody.” The President has a right to know what is going on at the Justice Department.

It continues to baffle me why anybody, whether it's people in this room or people watching or elected officials at the state or local level, if presented with evidence that there are tens of thousands, 20,000 ineligible voters that are receiving ballots, that there isn't some motivation, anything, to do something about that, like do something besides write a nasty gram to me or to have a senator write a letter to me suggesting I'm doing something wrong.” “The fact that we had to even bring this lawsuit after alerting local election officials to this potential issue, okay? And this isn't just made up, notwithstanding what folks are saying, this isn't just made up. We didn't pull names out of a hat. This is something that should be a serious concern to everybody in California and everybody in this country. So let's assume that only half those names vote. That's 10,000 people who are not eligible to vote that are voting in California.” “That's not scaring people. I'm not trying to not have an election certified. Of course not.
