i think it's really sad how there are still people who make njz situation abt hybe vs mhj issue bc all the adults around the girls have failed them and that includes hybe, mhj, ador and their parents for how selfish they handled the situation without putting the girls' career and mental safety above anything

there’s only one group who I can think of attending and pulling off this theme and their name start with EXTRAORDINARY and ends with GENES

When I found out the said director of the movie didn’t read the comic he was adapting I knew the visuals won’t be something to something to write home about

coming back to add that the preview looks like an old video game so what if they really were stuck inside a simulation& repeatedly failed to break free& thats why the ship always jumps back to the beginning bc in order to to escape they had to level UP first &now they finally did

not to say this doesn't happen in boy group fandoms, but to a lesser extent b/c the bias is typically against "noisy" music, and most boy groups dabble in that sound at some point in their career so for many fandoms criticizing that sound would mean criticizing their own faves

every genre has their own niche and audience, so why is it so normalized to shame people for liking groups that matches their own personal yastes? just because one person doesnt like or vibe with a sound or genre doesn't mean its bad

‘Some of the only good boy group music’ for anyone whose idea of good expands beyond generic synthwave. Holy fuck just let people dislike the teasers and move on

You but please for the love of fuck understand that 1.) not everyone is into an overdone sound like this 2.) there have been cohesive kpop albums that utilize different genres in the past.
Yes this is technically better than some of the worst of the worst but it is not

There are plenty of boy groups with good music so long as you actually look for them and you broaden your horizons beyond soft pop. It’s not that any of this is bad, it’s that it’s generally un interesting and completely lacking in variety. And if that’s your thing then you do

This entire discourse is kind of supporting my theory that a lot of girl group stans see safe/safer music as objectively higher quality

qrts are dragging op but they make a good point, and this isn't about the artists themselves but about the stans that keep drawing comparisons and forcing an all or nothing attitude on genres, i.e. "this sound is the best and every other group not doing this sound should disband"
