Rudolf Steiner was so correct when he warned that humanity’s “shadowy thoughts” would one day creep over the Earth like a spider’s web: a brood of half-mineral, spider-like creatures, interconnected in a network with “an overwhelming power of intellect.”

In today’s world (2026), the Internet is that connective web, running through electricity, wires and power, and reaching further into transhumanism, where the web begins to entrap us. AI, which some fear will become a superintelligence (theory of Singularity), a digital god, or even the Antichrist, works through the same things: powered by electricity, the decaying light of sub-nature, bound to sub-earthly forces of darkness.
Perhaps that is the secret of the “World Wide Web.”

Arnold Van Gennep, grand anthropologue de référence même aux États-Unis, comme me le rappelait Maria Noland, était savoyard d'adoption. En tant que tel, il a étudié le folklore alpin. Cependant, il a tenu les auteurs savoyards d'autrefois dans un injuste mépris. Jacques Replat notamment a subi son dédain. Il a également correspondu avec l'excellent Maurice Dantand, qui l'a remis à sa place. Depuis sa chaire, on comprend souvent mal la poésie, notamment populaire.
