I introduced the Energy Burden Tax Credit Act because no family should ever wonder if they can afford to keep their home warm during the winter months.

The #EqualityAct is our caucus's flagship bill and top legislative priority. It would amend existing federal civil rights laws to *explicitly* prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, and sex characteristics in key areas of life.

LIHEAP is a lifeline for many, but the program is woefully underfunded. Adjusting for inflation, if LIHEAP were funded at the same level as it was 45 years ago, the program would have received nearly $7 billion in FY27.

As the war with Iran remains unresolved, energy prices are expected to keep rising, with heating oil up 60% since February. LIHEAP’s $4 billion in funding for the last fiscal year would fall significantly short in meeting the needs of American families this fiscal year.

The AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act passed the House last month!
In addition to being a source of news, music, and community connection, AM radio is a lifeline in emergencies, helping Americans get important information and stay safe. I cosponsor this bipartisan legislation to make sure people don’t lose access to free AM radio in their cars, and I’m glad to see it moving forward.
Electricity prices are up. Natural gas and home heating oil prices are up. Diesel fuel is hitting record highs.
Granite Staters don’t need federal data to tell them this: they see it in every electric and gas bill. As we enter the colder months, tackling rising energy costs couldn't be more urgent.
