Auto theft isn’t just a property crime. It’s organized crime rings, chop shops, and carjackings putting Jersey families at risk.
I’m reintroducing the bipartisan CARS Act to bring back a National Auto Theft Bureau, so law enforcement can coordinate in real time and stop these criminals.
Thank you, Bloomingdale Mayor John D’Amato, for hosting us today and for your continued partnership and commitment to keeping our District safe. I’ll always get the backs of those who get ours. Grateful to have you as a partner.
This is exactly what my Stop Rogue AI Act is designed to fix.
AI agents are already running loose in our networks, and now they're trying to get into our bank accounts. Right now, it’s becoming harder to see them, verify who built them, or shut them off. This is a critical risk to our financial system as agentic tools become increasingly popular.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

I loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of The Housemaid 2 in Hoboken! Thank you to the remarkable, award-winning producer @ToddLieberman for having me.
As a member of the Congressional American Film and TV Production Caucus, I’ll keep fighting to bring more productions, jobs, and investment to Jersey!
It was great to join River Vale families, local small businesses, and community organizations at River Vale Day! Events like this always show what makes our Jersey communities so strong.
“Shylock” is a centuries-old antisemitic trope, and the President of the United States has now used the slur twice from the stage.
Words matter. Leaders in both parties should clearly call this out, without excuses. There is no room for hate in our country.

I had a great afternoon in Fair Lawn at the St. Leon Armenian Church Food Festival!
Thank you to the whole community for welcoming me. The food, music, and artwork were incredible. I'm proud to represent such a vibrant Armenian community in the Fifth District! @StLeonChurch
Thank you to @SCPOProsecutor Dan Perez for the kind words, his ongoing partnership and unwavering commitment to keeping our Sussex County communities and families safe.
I’m proud to work with Dan and all of our law enforcement officers in Sussex County. I’ll always have their backs.
It was great to join the Korean American Association of Fort Lee Picnic! Fort Lee’s vibrant Korean American culture is the heart of our community. Proud to stand with you, and I am always grateful for your leadership and contributions to North Jersey!
I had a great time spending the day at Wendy’s in Bogota! Huge thanks to the hard-working team for having me. I'll keep fighting to lower costs and help our workers, franchises, and local businesses thrive.
Three years after 10/7, we remember the lives lost and stand with those still healing. Thank you to the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey for bringing our community together on the anniversary. We will never forget, and we will always stand against antisemitism.

No church, mosque, gurdwara, synagogue, or temple should have to hire guards just to hold services, but acts of bigotry at Jersey houses of worship are up 163% this year.
That’s why I hosted a roundtable today with North Jersey’s Faith Leaders to hear about their concerns and discuss how I can keep fighting to keep our community safe.
Proud to join Hillsdale today for the grand opening of their Memorial Field!
This field will benefit Jersey families for generations, and I’m so excited to see it filled with our neighbors.
Congratulations to everyone who helped make this day a reality.
Big news for Passaic County: I just clawed back $1.2 million in federal Homeland Security funding from Washington for Bloomingdale, Ringwood, Wanaque, and West Milford police, firefighters, and first responders to upgrade radios, expand training, and keep our communities safe.
Your federal tax dollars are coming home to Jersey. As Chair of the Law Enforcement Caucus, I’ll always get the backs of our first responders.
Our nation’s service academies are the best in the world, and a record number of academy acceptances are from right here in the Fifth District.
It was great to host my annual Service Academy Interest Event today to help them take the first step toward service to our great nation!
Last week, I joined the Ukrainian community in North Jersey, and the message was clear: Ukraine cannot be left to face this winter alone.
We were told that easing sanctions on Russia would lower diesel prices at home. It won’t, and the only one benefiting is Putin, who is striking Ukraine’s power grid. We should be raising the pressure on Putin not rewarding him.
Cold weather didn’t stop @Sussexnj Borough Day! Great to see the Halloween Parade, join in the trivia, and spend time with neighbors on Main Street. Thank you to Mayor Holowach and everyone who organized it!
