Growing up on Staten Island, I learned early about NYPD Officer Rocco Laurie and his service to our city and nation as a U.S. Marine, Vietnam Veteran and NYC police officer. Yesterday, I was honored to join his wife Adelaide, the Fraternal Order of Police and others to memorialize him with the unveiling of a monument at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Officer Laurie and his partner, Officer Gregory Foster, were ambushed and assassinated by the Black Liberation Army in 1972, but their sacrifice remains etched in our community’s memory.
We’re taking fraud seriously by prosecuting thieves & I introduced legislation to get states to adopt stronger security measures to combat card skimming. Shortly after, New York announced plans to begin issuing chip-enabled EBT cards in early 2027. npr.org/2026/10/14/nx-s1-598…
In the last 5 years, our office has helped 262 individuals from 28 countries who followed our laws and did everything right become proud American citizens! We're happy to have played a part in helping them begin a new chapter as Americans. 🇺🇸

🚨MUST WATCH —> My dear friend, colleague, and fellow Cuban-American, @RepNicole brilliantly exposes the brutal anti-American communist regime in #Cuba at the United Nations!
As the daughter of a Cuban refugee, I was honored to join @USAmbUN Waltz at the United Nations to expose the human rights atrocities committed by the oppressive and murderous Cuban regime as the United States calls on nations to hold Cuba accountable and reject its communist propaganda.
While Democrats keep claiming there is no fraud and rather bankrupt the system, we are protecting taxpayers and preserving Medicaid, ensuring precious funds serve the citizens who truly need it.
At the urging of @CMFrankMorano and I, New York City and @NatlParkService have reached an agreement on the cleanup of the radioactive materials at Great Kills Park first discovered in 2005. silive.com/news/2026/10/majo…
You can now deduct annual interest on car loans for new American-made vehicles. This puts more money back in the pockets of families, makes car ownership more affordable and supports American workers and manufacturing jobs right here at home.
Another NYPD cop injured by an illegal immigrant allowed into our country by Joe Biden and protected by Kathy Hochul. Instead of turning him over for deportation after a prior arrest for a violent assault, he was released back onto our streets. nypost.com/2026/10/20/us-new…
After more than 20 years, we’re one step closer to cleaning up contamination at Great Kills Park. @CMFrankMorano and I pushed for this agreement to advance remediation and the East Shore Seawall. malliotakis.house.gov/media/…
New Yorkers are paying 60% more than the rest of country for electricity because @GovKathyHochul destroyed New York energy production.
I joined Colonel Eric Swenson, New York District Commander of the US Army Corps of Engineers to meet with Mayor Mamdani about the East Shore Seawall and what is needed to streamline construction of the project. Work on first phase drainage is expected to resume shortly, wall design is now complete and the City just signed an agreement with the National Parks Service to assume the cost for the remediation in Great Kills Park, an important agreement that we pushed for.
Republicans gave working families & senior citizens a tax cut. Democrats still want to give you a tax hike.
It’s that simple.
As the daughter of a Cuban refugee, I was honored to join @USAmbUN Waltz at the United Nations to expose the human rights atrocities committed by the oppressive and murderous Cuban regime as the United States calls on nations to hold Cuba accountable and reject its communist propaganda.
I’ll be joining @USAmbUN Waltz at the United Nations today to expose the atrocities and human rights violations of the Cuban government alongside those who were oppressed by the communist regime.
New Yorkers pay some of the highest taxes in the nation as Democrats at City Hall & in Albany squeeze them to pay for ridiculous things like luxury hotel rooms & benefits for illegal immigrants. But on the federal level, I’ve fought to get tax relief on the federal level. That’s why I worked to QUADRUPLE the State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction to $40,000, allowing hardworking New Yorkers to deduct local income & property taxes and keep more of their hard-earned money!

I was especially delighted to see my longtime friend, @RepNicole, receive the Outstanding Community Leader Award. I've known Nicole for many years, and I've seen firsthand how much she cares about Staten Island and the people she represents.
Honored to address those gathered for the POW-MIA ceremony hosted by the Vietnam Veterans of America. This past year, 250 more American soldiers from WWII, the Korean War & the Vietnam War were accounted for including U.S. Army Air Forces Staff Sergeant Nicholas J. Governale of Brooklyn whose remains were repatriated in April, 83 years after his plane crashed during WWII. We must never give up until every service member comes home.
God bless our veterans! President Trump & @HouseGOP are putting our veterans FIRST! The backlog of Veterans waiting for VA benefits and disability claims is down 70% and 51,936 homeless veterans were permanently housed in FY25, the highest total in seven years!
As the daughter of aging parents, protecting America’s senior citizens is a top priority for Nicole. From supporting our senior centers to strengthening Medicare and taking on the PBMs ripping off patients to writing the law the let seniors keep more of their Social Security benefits to advocating for a medically tailored meal delivery program, she fights for our elderly and has delivered! Last night she was honored by Out of the Storm Senior Housing for her work with the “Outstanding Community Leader Award.”
