MONTANA- 14.45 MILLION ACRES
H.J. Res. 104, introduced by @RepTroyDowning, repealed the Biden-era Miles City Field Office RMP Amendment, which locked up more than 2.75 million acres of land and 11.7 million acres of mineral estate in Montana. The RMP Amendment restricted coal deposits along Montana’s entire Powder River Basin, which makes up about 30 percent of the entire nation's coal resources.
Montana’s land should work for Montanans.
The Biden-era Miles City RMP locked up nearly 14.5 million acres and restricted access to coal in the Powder River Basin, home to roughly 30% of America’s coal reserves.
I introduced H.J. Res. 104 to overturn it. Now it’s done.
Good-paying jobs. Affordable energy. Montana resources working for Montana families.
