Nevada passed a new law called AB 121, which changes how residential leases are written after October 1, 2025. It requires a landlord to state the monthly rent as one total price. This price must include all mandatory fees.

After years of effort, groundbreaking for the Forever One Memorial - the permanent memorial to honor those we lost on #1October in 2017 and the response by the Las #Vegas community in the aftermath.
The memorial is being built on the location where the tragedy took place.

Today, on the ninth anniversary of the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, we pause to honor the 58 lives taken that night and everyone forever affected by that tragic day. 💔
The Las Vegas Community Healing Garden stands as a place of remembrance and reflection, with 58 memorial trees, the Tree of Life and countless heartfelt mementos left with love. 🌳
With its flowers, benches and peaceful paths, the garden offers a space for our community to reflect, heal and remember. At its center, the Remembrance Wall serves as a permanent tribute to the strength and resilience of the survivors and our community. 🦋
Tonight at 7 p.m., we will gather for a remembrance ceremony honoring the victims and survivors. @mayoroflasvegas and Mayor Pro Tem Olivia Diaz will read the names of the 58 victims as a bell tolls and a candle is lit in each person’s memory.
You can pay your respects by watching the remembrance ceremony live:

Join Clark County for the 1 October Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony at 7:30 a.m. on October 1 at the Clark County Government Center Amphitheater. Co-hosted alongside @LVMPD, Clark County Fire Department and the @ResJustCenter, the solemn gathering will honor and remember those lost almost nine years ago during the 1 October 2017 tragedy on the Las Vegas Strip.
The event will feature the Southern Nevada Multiagency Honor Guard, a minute of silence for those lost at the October 1, 2017, shooting on the Las Vegas Strip, and remarks from Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill, Clark County @CommishNaft and Debby Allen of California. Debby's son, Christopher Roybal, was one of the 58 who perished in the immediate aftermath of the attack (two others later passed away from their injuries). Roybal was 28 years old and a U.S. Navy combat veteran. The ceremony will also feature an acoustic performance of the song “Scars in Heaven”, sung by Debby’s son and Christopher’s brother, Jayson Williams. Attendees may bring lawn chairs since limited seating will be available.
For those who can't make it in person, the Sunrise Remembrance will air live on Clark County Television along with the County’s YouTube, Facebook and X social media platforms.

Today, we remember the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. We remember the terrorist attacks that killed almost 3,000 individuals and the 343 heroes lost on that fateful day.
Fire Station 5 has become a place of sanctuary for our community as we remember.
A steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center rubble is on display at Station 5. Additionally, the city of Las Vegas was gifted two Survivor Trees; one is planted at Fire Station 5 and the other at Police Memorial Park. The Survivor Trees are saplings from Ground Zero, symbolizing resilience and community healing.
Our members stand in remembrance. Join us in honoring those lost and ensuring we never forget.

At midnight, the same time tragedy struck 14 years ago, APD officers, loved ones, survivors and community members gathered at the 7/20 Memorial Garden for a vigil to remember and celebrate those lives lost.
As part of the tradition, officers conducted a silent procession past the Century 16 theater before arriving at the 7/20 Memorial Garden.
It is a powerful reminder that, even 14 years later, this tragedy is not forgotten. The procession reflects the strength and resilience of our community, as well as the unwavering commitment of the first responders who answered the call that night. Many of the same officers who responded on July 20, 2012, continue to return each year to honor the victims and stand beside those forever impacted.
Today, we remember the 12 lives taken, the 70 people injured, including 58 who suffered gunshot wounds, and the countless others whose lives were changed forever.
Forever in our hearts:
• Jonathan Blunk, 26
• Alexander J. Boik, 18
• Jesse Childress, 29

• Matt McQuinn, 27
• Micayla Medek, 23
• Veronica Moser-Sullivan, 6
• Alex Sullivan, 27
• Alexander C. Teves, 24
• Rebecca Wingo, 32
We also remember the unborn daughter of Ashley Moser, whose life was taken before she had the chance to begin.
We will never forget.
