Richard Rutkowski was the cinematographer on The Last Lullaby and one of the hardest-working people I’ve ever known. He brought so much to the film’s visual world. Nearly 20 years later, I’m still grateful for our collaboration.

With The Last Lullaby coming to Blu-ray from Kino Lorber on December 15, I’ve decided to start sharing scenes and archival material on my YouTube channel.
First up: one of my favorite scenes, featuring Tom Sizemore and Sasha Alexander.

With #Noirvember almost here, I've been thinking about the kind of noir I wanted to make with The Last Lullaby: the narrative drive of classic noir, the patience of art cinema, the naturalism of early '70s American film.
On Blu-ray Dec 15 from Kino Lorber.

One of the great pleasures of making The Last Lullaby was working with Sasha Alexander.
She brought such naturalness, intelligence, and quiet emotional depth to Sarah. Exactly what I’d hoped for when we cast her.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Like they need to understand somehow, someway, if it got BIG it almost always comes back to us.
Remembering prolific voice actor Eric Bauza, who told Variety’s @marcmalkin at the “Coyote vs. Acme” premiere in August that he hopes the film’s success “wakes up the people upstairs to pay attention and realize these characters matter more than they think.”
*in Daffy Duck’s voice* “You can’t mess around with the ‘Looney Tunes.’ Toughest fans in the world!”
Bauza died at his home as a result of hypertensive cardiovascular disease. He was 46. Read his obit: variety.com/2026/film/people…

Yes, this is entirely true. The claims did not start as a rumor; they were directly revealed by Elliot Page in his 2023 memoir, titled Pageboy.

Robert Pattinson confirms he lived in a single one-bedroom apartment with Andrew Garfield, Eddie Redmayne, Jamie Dornan, and Charlie Cox before they were famous.
Jennifer Lawrence hooked Robert Pattinson up to a lie detector and grilled him on his legendary Hollywood roommate situation.
“Before you were famous you lived with Andrew Garfield, Eddie Redmayne, Tom Sturridge, Jamie Dornan, and Charlie Cox. Were they all good roommates?” Lawrence asks.
Pattinson replies, “I only lived with Tom. I think all of the other guys lived together in LA… and we kind of all hung out.”
When Lawrence asks if they lived together or slept together, Pattinson casually drops the bombshell: “It was a one-bedroom, obviously.”
“Oh my god, they did all sleep together. Breaking news,” Lawrence jokes

Fans of I Dream of Jeannie will remember her as the belly dancer in 1st season episode "The Americanization of Jeannie." Jeannie was not amused by her belly dancing that caught Capt. Nelson's eye at dinner. Tanya is a world traveled belly dancer who has danced with Elvis Presley, seen on Star Trek, I Dream of Jeannie and other productions.
