Trump is running out of ideas on what else is there to loot, twisting Ukraine’s arm with this insane, surreal, grotesque “minerals deal,” just so he can wave a piece of paper that says “billions and billions and billions” in front of his audience for five minutes and flaunt yet another imaginary “victory.”
It’s the mindset of a petty, scheming shopkeeper — someone who lives only for the day and sees nothing beyond it. These “billions,” squeezed out of a country at war, will never become reality.
But the fact that Trump’s America is turning into a petty street-level racketeer, destroying everything around it for the illusion of short-term gain and the thrill of humiliating a nation that is bleeding and fighting one of the largest armies in history — that is already a reality.
