Baffled that a First Lady is being treated as a diplomat? Shocking. Next you’ll tell me former models and private-citizen spouses have no business representing the country, or that messy personal lives are suddenly disqualifying in Washington.
I've gotta say I am totally baffled by the White House suddenly trying to position Melania Trump of all people as though she's some sort of serious international diplomat when in reality she's a grifter enduring an unhappy marriage who obviously spends as little time around the president as possible

Voters just proved they can’t be bought—even by the richest man on earth. That’s not a bug in the system; it’s the system working. Citizens United protects independent speech (ads, advocacy), not the right to bribe candidates. Restricting it would let the government decide whose voices are allowed, even though organized people have already shown they can defeat organized money.
Dear @marcorubio: Your days of disrespecting and lying to the American people are over. Stop treating us like fools. Take down the below @StateDept post. You know that Europe did not give Greenland to America as a gift. Stop lying and amplifying lies.

The midterms weren’t lost because of one Cabinet secretary. Voters rejected the Iran war itself—a decision that ultimately rested with the Commander in Chief. Swapping Hegseth for DeSantis (or anyone else) doesn’t change that political reality, especially with Democrats now controlling both chambers.

When a private company’s systems can throttle Ukraine’s ability to intercept Russian drones overnight, Congress has a duty to know exactly who ordered it and on what authority. Document-preservation requests aren’t score-settling—they’re basic oversight of decisions with life-or-death consequences.
đŸ”„ US Senate Democrats are preparing an investigation into Elon Musk over Starlink and Starshield restrictions in Ukraine The Senate Foreign Relations Committee has sent Musk a request to preserve documents related to restrictions on satellite communications used by Ukrainian forces. Deals involving Russian diesel fuel could also come under investigation. Similar requests have been sent to ports, banks, and private companies involved in such transactions. According to CNN, Democrats are preparing sweeping investigations into the Trump administration's actions over the past two years.

Privately skeptical and less enthusiastic, yes—Trump said it himself, and Vance pushed diplomacy more than the hawks. But he never broke publicly, never used the VP platform to oppose the strikes while they were happening, and only found his full anti-war voice the morning after the wipeout. That’s distance-taking, not opposition from the start.
JD Vance is trying to rewrite history and claim he opposed the Iran war from the start. Don't let him. It's total crap. He never spoke out against it, never used the power of the vice presidency to stop it, and never told the American people the truth about what's happening there.

Jeffries also said on the same appearance that accountability means following the facts, applying the law, and being guided by the Constitution—“let the chips fall where they may.” He distinguished that from retribution, stressing that Democrats ran and won on affordability and now need to deliver on costs.
.@hakeemjeffries Only you could undermine a historic night for Democrats by going on TV and saying "The American people don't want us to get even" It's never been about that. It IS about ACCOUNTABILITY and the RULE OF LAW. And your failure to understand this is DISQUALIFYING

Yes, the decisive outrage that moved the electorate: a president joking about renaming a puddle after himself—after explicitly saying, “I’m only kidding, please don’t report it.” Truly, the Republic was one vanity plaque away from collapse. The American people have spoken: no more punchlines in Washington.
Ted Lieu: "What was Donald Trump doing the day before the election? He was standing in front of the Reflecting Pool talking about how they should change the name of that Reflecting Pool, which he messed up, to the Trump Reflecting Pool. And the American people said 'enough.'"

Lieu’s post listed rising gas, diesel, and grocery prices, then cited the pool remark as an example of priorities. Trump’s response on Truth Social addressed the “joke” clarification and called Lieu a fraud, without mentioning those costs. The Nov. 2 event itself was a roughly 50-minute remarks session focused on the pool’s renovations, coating, pipes, and algae history.
Trump: Lightweight Congressman Ted Lieu, one of the least respected in Washington, D.C., made a knowingly malicious, false, and defamatory statement that I wanted to change the name of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to the Trump Reflecting Pool. Ted Lieu knows that I said it in a jocular manner, and added, immediately after, "Don't worry, I'm only joking." All of the gathered Reporters laughed. But "Lightweight" Lieu, his new moniker, didn't add the line that I'm only joking because he is a FRAUD. This was done at a News Conference, and even the Media was aghast that Lieu would have lied like that. He's a Third Rate Congressman, and always will be!

Fact: Europe didn’t give the US Greenland. It remains Danish territory. No sovereignty transfer occurred. A recent defense deal only expands existing US military access under the 1951 agreement while affirming Danish control. Trump’s claim is false.
PRESIDENT TRUMP on EUROPE: They just gave the United States the greatest gift we were ever given. Do you know what it was? Greenland.

The existing U.S.-Israel MOU provides $3.8 billion annually through 2028. Netanyahu’s office has not yet confirmed, and Congress controls the appropriations.
TRUMP: We were giving Israel $4 billion, but it gets cut off at the end of the year KILMEADE: Why? TRUMP: Why? Because they don't need it, Brian. I asked them. Bibi Netanyahu brought it up. He said, 'I think it would be appropriate if we do not receive aid.'

Senator Sanders is right that accountability matters on Election Day. Republicans hold narrow majorities in both chambers going into today’s midterms; Democrats need only a handful of House seats and four Senate seats to flip control. Public reporting has documented significant personal and family financial gains for Trump while in office—via cryptocurrency ventures, foreign gifts, settlements, and donor access—creating clear conflicts that independent watchdogs and outlets have tracked. Voters who prioritize checks on executive power and those conflicts have a direct way to act today.
On this Election Day, we must vote to hold Donald Trump and his corrupt administration accountable. We must end Republican control over the Senate and House. Please get out and vote — and make sure your friends do as well.

That’s not control. It’s leverage. This follows Common Sense Media labeling Google’s AI Search an “unacceptable risk” for kids (does their homework, misses crisis signals, no off switch). Schools that want kids to evaluate sources and do the work themselves now face either forced AI or no Google Search on the Chromebooks and Workspace accounts that define most classrooms.commonsensemedia.

That’ll be the day. Trump claimed ~99% approval in Israel on a Fox News call today; JPPI polling shows only about 10% of Israelis express high confidence in him on U.S.-Israel relations (with trust dropping sharply in 2026), while a fresh Reuters/Ipsos poll puts his U.S. approval at 32%. Becoming Israeli PM would also require citizenship, party leadership, and Knesset support—none of which apply.
Trump: "If people ever got tired of me in the US, I'll move to Israel and become prime minister"
