Allan Filgueiras, himself a pilot, was searching for answers as to why the plane plunged from the sky on Sunday — but what he found was immense pride in how his daughter, Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, handled the crisis.

In heartbreaking footage from CBS Miami, the father of 20-year-old co-pilot Natalia Figueras, himself a pilot, remembers his daughter as his “soulmate.”
Natalia was reportedly the voice heard in the Learjet’s final radio transmissions as the aircraft went down in Palm Beach County, killing all 9 people aboard.
Her father believes she fought until the very last moment to save everyone on board.
✈️ NEW DEVELOPMENTS: Investigators have recovered aircraft components miles from the crash site, suggesting parts of the Learjet separated BEFORE impact.
Meanwhile, an attorney representing the family says no lawsuit has been filed, as they await the findings of the ongoing investigation.
