Young people don’t just use the YVL App - they shape it. ✅
This afternoon, Youth Advisory Board members and representatives from youth groups in Tanzania took the floor to share honest feedback and personal experiences exploring the App.
Their insights went deep: language diversity, inclusivity for rural communities, gender responsiveness, accessibility, content relevance, clarity, navigation, and overall user experience.
Their testimonials made it clear what works well, where there’s room to improve, and how the App can better respond to young people's diverse needs.
Then it was time to build. Participants rotated through 4–5 thematic tables on navigation, content, accessibility, engagement features, and creative tools - identifying challenges, brainstorming solutions, and proposing new features. 🧩

Across Africa, many adolescents face barriers to the information, services and choices they need to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Through the SHE SOARS project, girls and boys are speaking up about their needs, and healthcare providers are listening. Across Kenya, Uganda and Zambia, efforts to make health services more youth-friendly are helping challenge stigma and improve access to SRHR care.
At the Center for Reproductive Rights, we believe every young person deserves the right and accurate information, support and freedom to make decisions about their health and future.

📖 Daniel's literacy development work is part of a movement that has reached 4,185 learners, expanding from 3 to 20 mainstream schools and bringing inclusive education to:
- Mulago School for the Deaf
- Salama School for the Blind
- Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped
