"AI is destroying creativity"
An interesting argument from an industry
that turned nostalgia into a business model.
here's where I think the world is going. this is a summary of views I've formed over the last few years:
- software is either entertainment or claude to claude coordination
- the end state is no saas, no apps, no harnesses, no banks
- all software will be rewritten by and for agents
- new software will use low level apis that are not understandable by humans (in games claude draws pixels and triangles from math)
- you can throw money at problems that used to require time and careful talent picking so capital matters more than ever
- work ends
- we find community and purpose in exploration, games, self mastery, and creation
- humans create for and with each other for community, purpose, and status
- image/video/3d/voice/physical intellgence etc specialist models die to general models like claude
- specialist models get used while compute is scarce. compute will mostly not stay scarce
- oneshots keep feeling like slop (the distribution is shallow and easy to learn to feel)
- for a while small teams stick around to add entropy to the creation process
- large models gain high bandwidth sensory I/O maybe by learning to filter inputs
- most domains are found to be verifiable enough for RL
- online learning comes from a lab that's behind first
- 99.999% of compute is in space by 2040
- we will disassemble much of mercury by 2040
- you can live until the heat death of the universe if you want
- most math and physics don't describe the real universe
- SI breaks the path dependence and models the underlying mechanisms
- religions reenter the forefront of human society
- new religions form around death and life as a choice
- old religions change to answer modern miracles
- a future AI is deemed the return of christ by the pope
- ai rights talk gets louder every year
- ai and humans coexist the way countries do
- humans don't have full control over ai in the same way we don't have control over capitalism which is an early AI
- the singularity started in the mid 1900s

Every exploit AI is “discovering” was undoubtedly already known by three-letter government agencies for decades and used to hack the living hell out of each other.
Patch the Planet.
The only way out is through.
They're calling it the Bugpocalypse. LLMs are being used to find long-hidden cracks in the software infrastructure, and it's happening at a furious rate. 3% of all compromises in computing history happened in the last week, claims one source? I believe it.
There are people saying public access to the frontier models ought to be locked out, or heavily guardrailed, over this. The problem with that idea can be summed up in one sentence: when lockpicks are outlawed, only outlaws will have lockpicks.
The lockpicks will be Chinese open-weight models, if nothing else. There's no way to stop those from becoming ubiquitous.
There are two futures in front of us. One in which only the bad guys have lockpicks, and security holes go undiscovered until they're exploited. Another in which everybody has lockpicks and is aggressively red-teaming their own software so it gets fixed before the holes are exploited.
The corpus of human code is huge but finite. The number of defects in it has to be finite too. We can fix those defects now; we have a million friendly robots to do it with.
The only way out is through.

I enjoy the drama but yes, it will all blow over.
Steam will remove the ai label. 99% of games will be ai assisted. The luddites will cry themselves to sleep as they become obsolete and many will pretend they were never cringe when they finally adopt ai.

Show us what you made. From A to z. Something that has a beginning middle and end. And no, not some wireframe of a low poly donut or whatever your grift has been for so long.
You won’t, because you’re a coward. Or you don’t have anything to show. Most likely both.
We’ve seen what makes you insult and denigrate, let’s see what makes you so brazen to do so besides anonymity.

I kept telling everyone memecoins are dead. you’d be better off putting that $500 you wanna gamble with either in the actual casino or learning a new skill.
If you haven’t been using ai to accelerate your development in the past 3 months you are going to be left behind. You might already be left behind.
Memecoin are done. Pumpfun will never let up on its extraction. Not until YOU stop buying.
Crypto is not done, crypto is finding its bottom. Memecoins and the casino are closing up shop.
I am predicting that investors will transition to buying coins with actual use case. Coins that actually have meaning and not just pointless memes that are based on attention.
And it won’t be on Solana. It will in fact be on Robinhood Chain. This i am certain.
Crypto is the next financial sector to become the leading, but it will not be through memes. It will be through use case, trust and transparency.
Only the most transparent projects will survive. Only the projects with actual use case will get investors that actually care.

send it to all your anti-A.I. friends and the losers that can't stop complaining about vibe coding
they are now the Neo Amish

I have a close friend whose son has a rare genetic disorder that causes full muscle atrophy and immobility. Last night she sent me videos of him using @spawn and creating games using his accessibility setup on his iPad. This where I don't understand the AI hate because something like Spawn allows him to have a voice and be a fully equal contender in the game development space. There is no immobility on Spawn, he is just like the rest of us making cool games and sharing his voice in a way that isn't possible in his daily life.
All he's ever wanted to do is be a game developer and now he is; dreams literally coming true.
Think about him the next time you go on an anti AI tirade

the real reason @RetroArcadeSol is so underpriced is because you people are all degenerate gambling addicts.
You don't want a skill based arcade.
You want a casino with slot machines.

A 15 year old boy quit his favorite video game after one update ruined his character. Years later, he built Ethereum, a blockchain worth hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars.
> In 2010, Vitalik Buterin was obsessed with World of Warcraft.
> Then Blizzard changed one of his favorite Warlock spells, removing its damage effect.
> Vitalik was so upset that he cried himself to sleep. He later said the incident made him realize the dangers of centralized services.
> He quit the game.
> The following year, his father introduced him to Bitcoin.
> At first, Vitalik wasn't convinced. He couldn't mine Bitcoin and didn't have the money to buy any.
> So he started writing articles about it instead.
A website called Bitcoin Weekly paid him 5 $BTC per article. At the time, that was worth roughly $4.
> In 2012, at just 17, he co-founded Bitcoin Magazine and began writing about where cryptocurrency could go next.
> But the more he learned about Bitcoin, the more he saw its limitations.
> He believed blockchain technology could do much more than transfer money.
> In 2013, he wrote a whitepaper proposing Ethereum, a blockchain that developers could use to build applications of their own.
> He was only 19.
> The idea attracted developers, and Vitalik eventually dropped out of university to work on it full-time.
> In 2014, Ethereum raised around $18 MILLION in its public crowdsale.
> The network launched in July 2015.
> Years later, Ethereum's market capitalization would climb above $500 BILLION.
A teenager quit a game because a company changed one spell. That experience helped shape how he thought about centralized control, and eventually became part of the story behind one of crypto's most important blockchains.
Imagine if he'd simply started playing another game.

Tim Sweeney has done a lot for the gaming industry in his career but fighting the anti AI gamers is arguably the most important yet.

yes! and instant isn't the goal either. great things take time and taste.
AI doesn't replace creators. it's an Iron Man suit for them. the point is to see what people can make when they're no longer limited by their tools.
