5 things you must never stare at for too long:
1. Someone else's happiness.
2. Your past failures.
3. A bond that has already ended.
4. The memory of being disliked.
5. Worries that have not arrived yet.
Look away, and protect your peace.

SENTINEL is the next chapter of The Elder Scrolls. An incredible way for @BethesdaStudios to mark 40 years of building worlds that speak to millions of players across generations. Congratulations to the team, past and present.

All of these DBD players saying they feel “unsafe” playing a video game is the most performative nonsense in a while. What’s going to happen? Are the mean words gonna jump through your screen and attack you? It’s so ridiculous.

You cannot claim that a community was built on equality, representation and acceptance when for the past ten years there has been mostly nothing but toxicity emanating from that community that ranged from gameplay to harassing fellow DbD creators on Twitch itself.
The DbD community itself is not innocent in this situation, and considering Peanut did NOT say anything to the DbD community, the community of "acceptance" chose to fire first and then gave the surprised Pikachu face when his returned fire in SPADES.
You don't get to cast judgment from on high and expect to not be held into account for the actions that the DbD community has fostered itself, and if you STILL don't wish to believe it, go take a look at the death threats, doxxing, and actions given to not only Peanut but to the DbD dev that is in question.
This entire situation is nothing but a community looking in the mirror and realizing they do not like what they see when they give others the exact same energy.
I haven't said anything about the current situation here as anything I would want to say echoes what others have already mentioned. But I want to make sure folks know where I stand on the entire situation:
I feel heartbroken and frustrated. Not only by how this situation started, but how it has escalated and so far been handled by DBD. All we have been given is a post (not even on the main account) with words that mean little.
I don't understand how someone can go on the offical DBD Twitch account, at home, out of work hours, potenially under the influence and "collab" with a creator without prior authorisation, not to mention the creator involved/the fan base they enable. Their flippant response to this entire situation shows how meaningless that "collab' was to them as it's just another meme for them to use for content.
Something so small to that creator has left an entire community distraught over the weekend, getting all kinds of comments, slurs & threats on their socials, DMs and streams... ALL because of one decision made by one employee.
How can you build a community over the last 10 years that stands for equality, representation and acceptance... to just lose all that confidence with one decision? Is this what your company stands for or is this just one rogue employee who has taken advantage of their position?

Nah this is a fucking joke, and y'all are damn pathetic.
Fuck your pandering, and your toxic ass shit community of psychopaths, predators, and crybabies.
@theburntpeanut had as many people in his stream alone as yall have as a average playercount.
NOT engaging with him would have been stupid.
Instead you pissed off a community of millions of people just to pander to some loud assholes who threatened the lives of your employees.
Absolutely disgusting to capitulate to these degenerate POS'

Might I remind the DbD community that there are federal laws now against cyberbullying, and if Mandy chooses to hire lawyers to hold your community accountable....
well, you're fucked.
Perhaps then you might learn how to act as proper adults instead of resorting to threats of violence when you do not get what you want.
@DbDPulse I doubt you will care to reiterate this, but might be something to address to potentially remind others that there are consequences to said actions.

Final Fantasy Resonance Producer Keisuke Nakashima says Square Enix execs initially wanted a cheap and simple port of Brave Exvius but he fought to make a full-blown original console version!
“Initially there was some resistance to the idea from Square Enix executives.”
“I didn’t want to go down that route. I wanted to create an original version for consoles that was a full-blown gameplay experience.”
“It was really disappointing to hear people didn’t want to play it just because of the gacha elements. That was another reason we wanted to make this a console game, to bring it to a wider audience.”

If you play @DeadbyDaylight and you are crying about @theburntpeanut
I need you to do 2 things to save me and you both time and effort.
1, stop bitching and crying and just block me already.
2, go fuck yourself because y'all are insufferable and annoying.
Shut up.

I started playing Dead by Daylight years ago. 1,396 hours. Uninstalled.
I stopped playing because of the player base, and this week is proving exactly why.
Behaviour gave one of the biggest streamers on Twitch every character so he could play the game properly on stream. Behaviour's own statement says unlocking content for creators trying the game is normal. That's promotion. That's new eyes on a game that needs them.
And the community's response? Pile on the streamer, then send threats to the community manager who set it up. Over characters. In a video game.
You want new players, but you attack the biggest streamer to give your game a shot, and you go after the staff who made it happen. Then you wonder why nobody new sticks around.
I loved this game. I put nearly 1,400 hours into it. But this is why I left, and honestly, watching this, I'm glad I did.
It's a game. Get over it.

This weekend, a Dead by Daylight team member awarded in-game content and currency to a creator streaming our game. Although it is not unusual to unlock content to give creators discovering DbD a chance to have a sneak peek at available content, this decision was made without receiving appropriate approvals. Furthermore, the team member's subsequent comments and conduct do not align with Dead by Daylight’s core values.
When concerns about this decision became apparent during the stream, we should have responded by looking into these concerns, not dismissing them.
Unfortunately, we’ve now seen the fallout of this decision unfolding in many conversations across the DbD community. We appreciate and stand with our community’s willingness to ensure our shared values are being upheld, at all times, regardless of popularity, and we’re heartbroken at the inflammatory language now being directed towards our community.
At the same time, threatening employees will never be acceptable, and we’re asking everyone to stop engaging with these posts.
We apologize to our community for letting you down. We have already begun reviewing our internal processes to prevent an incident like this from happening again.
