An Important Message from the Revomon Team This is one of the hardest announcements we have ever had to make. After more than five years of building, we have made the difficult decision to sunset Revomon. Revomon Novus was meant to be a new beginning. It did not get the traction we needed: around 200 testers and very few pre-orders (*that will be fully refunded to all buyers by the end of this month*). During the marketing push, much of the reaction from the wider gaming audience was about accusations of AI use and hostility toward crypto and NFTs. On top of everything that came before, we no longer have the financial capacity to keep going. We started this journey in April 2021 with a deep passion for collectible creature games and a belief that blockchain could give players real ownership of their adventures. In 2021–2022, during the peak of the Metaverse wave, Revomon passed 200,000 downloads and built partnerships with Binance's BNB Chain MVB program, Gate, MEXC and many other web3 gaming projects along the way (that are not existing anymore). Thanks to this community, we got further and held longer than many ever thought we could, ourselves included. From 2023 onward, the struggle kept growing despite our efforts and investment: - The Poly Network exploit (2023) hit the BNB Chain to Ethereum bridge. We narrowly escaped disaster, but we had to rebuild much of our infrastructure from scratch and reduce the team which has left deep scars. - Immutable support was a real help early on. Because it was tied to token value, it shrank from thousands of dollars to a few hundred as the market declined. - Investor appetite for Web3 gaming largely disappeared, along with the interest in crypto games and NFTs. - Growing hostility from mainstream players toward crypto, NFTs and AI left us with a concept the gaming market was no longer willing to give a chance. What happens now: - The game is delisted and will receive no further updates. - The website, the REVO token and the NFT collections remain online and on-chain. There will be no further development. - The staking pool stays accessible and we advise all holders to withdraw their tokens. - Discord and Telegram stay open for the community with respect of the community rules. - Game Pass pre-orders will be fully refunded by the end of October. :warning: Stay safe: The team will never DM you about refunds, airdrops, token migrations or wallet connections. Any message like that is a scam. This is not the ending we wanted. We tried with full efforts and energy, from the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your support over these years: our OG members, our former VR and mobile players, moderators and helpers, our partners, and everyone who contributed along the way.
