The Arsenal backline against Fleetwood should’ve been Hincapie, Konsa, Salmon, White.
Arteta got it wrong
Arteta throwing 17yr old Marli Salmon into a makeshift backline alongside Mosquera away at a hostile Highbury Stadium was an accident waiting to happen.
Salmon is a serious talent for the future, but expecting a teenager to command the backline on his debut without Saliba, Konsa or Gabriel next to him is unfair.
The senior defenders on that pitch didn't guide him at all on that opening goal.
