It’s rare that the dub updates the opening viduals to correlate with the arc the anime was currently on. So shoutout to the dub for doing it here with Season 16 (Adventures in Unova) to correlate with the Unova League, Team Plasma, and Decolore Islands

I was never a big fan of the performances in XY, but Serena absolutely got robbed here. She put on a genuinely stellar performance, but she still lost to Aria who gave one of the most mediocre performances in the series and most of it got offscreened anyway. Make it make sense 😭

Like Serena deadass only lost simply because Aria was more popular

This was definitely one of the best episodes to come out of Horizons! Animation was stupid🔥 Im glad that not only Quaquaval finally learned Aqua Step, but that Koraidon and Miraidon weren’t actually one and done appearances. They really showed out too

Tomorrow is the last episode of this Ruinous Quartet mini arc. Everything on this poster has been covered so I wonder what’s next for HZ. Hopefully the next arc has *some* semblance of a direction😭

You know I was originally thinking “Guess Who is Back” for Magna vs Dante, but “Rakugaki Page is honestly a better choice

Learning that there’s people that dislike that HMs got removed in favor of Ride Pokemon is one thing, but the fact there’s people that actually hate the physical/special split? I thought that was a universally praised thing, but I guess you learn something new everyday lol
Nahobino JD (@SummonerFlash) profile pictureNahobino JD@SummonerFlashOct 26
Learnsets are somewhat valid but I’m a full-on physical/special split hater these days. The idea that Pokemon can only be well designed if they’re firing STAB attacks off of their biggest attacking stat is stupid

I will always praise the removal of HMs in Gen 7 in favor of ride Pokémon. Even what they did in Legends ZA was a great alternative. HMs were intrusive asf in Gens 3 and 4. Like I love Platinum, but I always dreaded going through Mt Coronet and the Victory Road

Some people act like removing HMs from modern Pokemon was a bad idea as if they didn’t just force you to have a team of 5 and a boat-plane-scissors hybrid in your party 😭
