One thing tha continues to disappoint is the sporting world’s failure to different mental health from mental performance reasonably. They can be related... cousins, maybe even siblings, but seeing them as the same has consequences.

During these difficult past few months, I’ve done lots of thinking and self reflection, and decided to tell the story of my own journey in my own words. I hope this will inspire the next generation of athletes when things return to normal. #TimeToDream theplayerstribune.com/en-us/…

Science is hard.
Having some data and analytics knowledge to model and make graphics can cause REAL MIS-INFORMATION problems. Please be aware that "playing with data" publicly can have negative implications in this case.
Replying to @NeelaJan
These models take decades to build. They then take days and days in supercomputers to run, and they are run for hundreds, if not thousands, of repeated simulations.
These are the simulations the government gets to plan the pandemic.
It’s not a log scale graph made in R.

Consider how this relates to high performance culture... lofty goals are not successful leadership...
Firing Peters was the obvious and correct decision. But players shouldn't be solely responsible for holding organizations and coaches responsible. Especially marginalized players who are faced with the risk of sacrificing career by speaking up. (1/2)
Replying to @ArponBasu
What should be apparent right now is that there are likely many, many other versions Akim Aliu out there we don’t know about, people who remained silent in the hopes of achieving their dream despite running into bullshit like this along the way.
Firing Peters is a necessary first step. But it doesn’t fix the problem. If the Flames (and NHL as a whole) are truly committed to diversity and inclusion, what systemic measures are they going to take to ensure that this doesn’t happen again?

Zdeno Chara was hazed and bullied when he was a young hockey player. So he resolved to do away with that behavior, and craft a team culture that treats the "first-year players" with respect.

After over a year away, excited to get back into a Comm Ave classroom to share some new tricks. Getting emotional in @BUQuestrom Ought to be a fun guest lecture. There’s market charts in there and everything I must have become a business guy ;)
