Midland College head coach Isaac Fontenot knows there’s only so much you can learn about a roster before everyone finally gets on campus. “You really don’t know until the guys get here.” Now that Fontenot has his group together, one thing has immediately stood out — the athleticism. “It’s probably the most athletic team I’ve ever had.” But athletic ability alone isn’t going to define Midland. Fontenot and his staff are focused on adding the discipline, character and toughness necessary to turn those physical tools into winning basketball, using daily offensive and defensive work to establish those habits. For Midland, the pieces are in place. Now it’s about chipping away every day and finding out what this group can become.

The WJCAC continues to set the standard. Four teams reached Hutch last season, including 2026 National Champion Howard College. Get an early look at what’s next. 👀 The Revocruit Region 5 Tour hits West Texas September 9–10, featuring 7 programs across two days.
