This landmark moment for light-rail comes 50 YEARS after local transit advocate Lyndon Henry drafted the first formal proposal for a light-rail system in Austin.

This is a great thread about cycling in Austin.
Today was Austin's biggest Bike To Work Day yet with 45 stations around the city offering breakfast tacos, waffles, orange juice, bike lights, tune-ups and a lot of encouragement.
But 99% of Austin workers don't commute by bike.
