A huge part of leading / loving / parenting people is seeing potential where others see problems.
Maintain perspective. Hear music where others only hear noise. See a tree where others only see a nut.

The lesson of the Biden presidency and what the midterms will say about Trump-2 is pretty obvious: Never mistake winning an election with an unchecked mandate to indulge the excesses of your base. For Biden, the excesses involved gross violations of cultural norms: His obsessions with open borders, DEI and everything trans plus a huge helping of expensive and expansive government through needless spending that led to inflation, a tax on the working class. For Trump, it’s needless excursions into tariffs (making the Biden-created affordability crisis worse), his belief that the American people wouldn’t lose patience with a drawn out war with Iran (we should have crushed the evil Mullahs months ago and be enjoying a peace dividend), and his belief that he has some magical power over the American people in that he sold the war or his tariffs when he didn’t. Trump’s hubris extended to weird people excursions about ballrooms, reflecting pools and a lot more and people — not his base but most people — are tired of it. Occupancy of the White House doesn’t mean you own it; it’s always for rent
Spot on. My father taught me that $10/hr is more than $0/hr.
Are things hard? Yes.
Does sitting around and blaming people for how hard they are improve anything? No.
Ultimately, you have to take a path toward a better life.
Or you can whine to death.
It’s an example. A metaphor. Sometimes you take a job, not because you like it , or it pays enough. You take the fucking shitty job because it pays more than not having a job.
You learn everything you can while working that job, in hope of maybe being promoted or preparing for your next job.
Or you sit on your ass. Collect unemployment as long as you can and do whatever.
We all make choices.
Some people are willing to grind. Some are not.
Just the way it is.

Shane Gillis should do a joke about how parents are not efficient in the school drop off line so we can finally have a national conversation about that.

I don’t have any words. I try to keep a positive spin but complete failure of a season.
That is…sad on so many levels
Americans are more likely to have placed a bet in the past year than to have read a book

I've been a @trailblazers fan for my entire 41 years of life. I'm an Army brat with parents from the Oregon coast. That team has helped me feel tied to Oregon through every move.
But the decisions the org has made over the last 12 months are ridiculous. #RipCity
