Ringmaster

Thank you for watching Ash vs Yugi! This episode wouldn't be possible without our amazing animators @OriginTheHero @ProjectAlpha22 and @SXR123 ! I'm so impressed and proud to have worked with this dream team on this episode.

Let this episode set a mark on what Death Battle is when the planets align and we have absolutely the most talented artist, writers and editors and let them put their heart and soul into it. In my opinion, this is our peak. Enjoy the episode. youtube.com/watch?v=dztPfvT7…

'SCOOBY-DOO VS COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG' IS OUT! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I put my heart and soul into this one so I hope you all enjoy it! 👇Huge 'Thank You' post w/ spoilers incoming!👇 ...................................................................................... I ended up making Jack vs Afro back in the day when I got drunk in a Halloween party. For this one, I decided to stuff myself with a huge box of Scooby Snacks before proposing the idea! Didn't work out so well since no one could hear what I was saying, so I tried again completely sober. Not very exciting but I really wanted to prove that I can still pull something like this off! We started working on this episode early this year slowly but surely and with a lot of help along the way we where able to make something truly special. Big shout out to our VAs @RingmasterDBX as Scooby-Doo and @EdBoscoVA as Courage! Without your amazing performances this episode would not have turned out as good as it did. Thank you so much for voicing these amazing characters! I have to thank so many people to help make this happen! Thank you @LiamRichardSwan, It was great having an episode director and writer that is passionate and open to the ideas I would bring in to make this episode feel extremely unique. This episode needed someone like you guiding it forward so I'm glad you where super involved in every step of the way. KirbyKid, DJTiki and all the researchers who worked on this episode. Figuring out two characters who are both heavy on their cartoon shenanigans is a lot of work! Episode would not have been possible without their research! (ignoring the fact that every episode would not be possible without them) The hardest part about working on Jack vs Afro was planning out the fight, so having @DYWTBA_Brony absolutely kill it with the storyboards not only got me excited to work on the episode but it saved me a lot of time. Thank you for always being incredible! Susie did an outstanding job with the episode art! really captures the vibe of the fight without giving anything away! ;) When it comes to animation, I had an amazing team with an amazing co-director: @xZackAttack27x! He also work on roughs and clean up so I appreciate all your help! Thank you so much Zack! @Andross164: Your shots with Scooby where very cartoony/bouncy and I love it! Christopher Bak: The frighting look on Courage was capture perfectly! I hope you enjoyed drawing Scooby in a dress! @SXR123: The CG animation shot looked fantastic, I'm glad you where able to animate a shot for this episode! @ceesaltmalt: The fight would have not been done without your extremely fast contribution in clean up and coloring, thank you so much! Dalton Freeland: Thank you for rigging the CG model, thanks to you we where able to make the character a lot more complex than I expected it to be! Thank you! Viz Post is truly the MVP! When the shots where coming in from the team it made me teary eye, you all made the fight look so fucking amazing! @RingmasterDBX: Yeah, of course you would voice Scooby, work on the set for the fight AND work on viz-post. You are constantly giving it your all for the team and I don't think we could thank you enough. You have helped push the show to heights it should not be possible for a free YouTube show on the internet. Autumn Elizondo: You expertise in viz post, being able to add things to the animation to elevate it more, gosh, I was really lucky that you wanted to work on this episode so much. You made shots look better than I could ever imagine it to look! @EricTello96: Coming in clutch for those missing shots and you made it look so freaking easy, you are so good at this and so happy you are now part of the DB team! @CaptainsLantern: You finally worked on a 2D episode with me since you rejoined the team! I knew the episode was going to be good when you turned in THE SHOT of the episode with Scooby. Killed it! The audio team blew it out of the water, this fight is filled with so many great sounds from the Hannah Barbera-era and it fits perfectly well. They also had to deal with a constantly updating fight until the end and they made it work, super impressive! Thank you @slashtiki for bringing the episode together as you always do but also Thank you to our newest editor @GalaxyVideo1 for joining the team, jumping in and editing like you been working on the show for years. You both are where able to pull this together without breaking a sweat, some of the best edits I seen. Okay, this far enough, yeah? Thank you @RingmasterDBX for voicing Eustace Bagge, this was the best outcome for these two wonderful doggos and I'm so glad we could go in this different direction for the finishing blow that I think only a single person in our community predicted, so soooo good!! Your voice was absolutely SPOT ON! Finally thank you to @BenBSinger, @ChadJamesRT, @ErinMakela , @margaretominey, everyone in the @DEATHBATTLE Team for doing an incredible job so far this season! And that's it! You are probably tired of seeing the word 'thank you' at this point, but it is really all I can say at this point. I never thought that I would be in a position where so many people would end up supporting me in this way including you who reading this whole dang post! There is a lot to talk about the process of making this episode but for now... Enjoy the episode and the rest of the season!
