A hard-to-find piece of early grassroots UFO research from Ohio.
Eyewitness was edited by William Moore of Mt. Perry, Ohio, but this was not William L. “Bill” Moore, the researcher later associated with The Roswell Incident and the MJ-12 controversy. UFO archive catalogs specifically distinguish the two men.
This issue documents UFO reports from Ohio and Pennsylvania, including a January 22, 1971 sighting near Willard, Ohio. Richard Williams and several other witnesses reported a low-flying diamond or bat-shaped object with bright lights and what appeared to be exhaust or rocket-like structures.
The newsletter also includes Pennsylvania sighting reports, commentary on declining UFO reports following the closure of Project Blue Book, and coverage of the Midwest UFO Conference held in St. Louis.
Publications like this show how regional investigators gathered and circulated reports before the internet. Many of these local cases received little or no attention outside the original newsletters, making surviving copies an important record of early civilian UFO research.

🚨Update in the David Grusch Lawsuit
Today I received the 39 pages of records that David Grusch is currently suing the Pentagon to access. They all pertain to an inquiry made by an intern for Congressman Cletus (@timburchett) in 2023 about a UD complaint Grush alleges was made against him. It culminated in this one-page letter confirming there was no such UD complaint and Grusch was just being Grusch.👇
I'll post the entire 39 pages in the comments later. It's nothing. Grusch is wasting tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money suing the USG for this (which, as noted, they were planning to release to him anyway). These are the nutters Looney Loona and @RepSuhas are empowering.
