Whole lotta words which don't dispute the fact that it was very clearly still a "drop" regardless of how good his adjustment was (tbh maybe he should've turned his head the other way)
I didn't watch the game live last night but the amount of stuff I'm seeing on my feed calling that Golden play a drop last night — and the engagement all that got — breaks my brain.
Guy created 2 yards of separation in a tight area and Love missed a *huge* target window by at least 5 yards short and to the outside. Ball was "behind his eyes" like Brady said a couple weeks ago, and makes that such a tough catch. And he did damn well to adjust and even get his hands on it — a bunch of WRs wouldn't even make that look like a drop because it took strong body control to make it look like an easier catch than it was.
Respectfully, while it would've been great to see Golden finish *what would've been a spectacular play* to bail out his QB, putting more than like 10% of the blame on him is, in my estimation, just flatly inaccurate analysis based on recent narrative (yes, he's had some bad recent drops, which I've criticized him for).

You're talking about "risk of ruin" when there's only 3 possible results per game - win, lose, or tie lol. You don't get extra points for losing in OT.
If the goal of going for 2 when down 14 is it increases your win % - why would you not only go for 2 on the second TD when you have a chance to win or tie?
Going for 2 on the first TD is abhorrently bad. 50% of the time (roughly league average) you are now playing a 50/50 JUST TO TIE THE GAME rather than win.
Add in model error and these are not 50/50s in the moment team by team, game by game... it is a massive massive blunder to go for 2 down 14. Kick the extra pt and you go for it TO WIN on the 2nd TD if the coach wants to get aggressive.
Really every team should be playing for OT. They are raising their risk of ruin (in game) every time they go for 2 down 14 unless they are wildly above league average on 2pt conversions, which only about 4 teams are.

What could possibly be your goal of this tweet other than to say you shouldn't be allowed to bet unders for ANY player
So let me get this straight… we as customers can’t bet unders on players that are “expected to play less than 12 minutes” but yet there is nothing to protect us from betting on players who are expected to play 30+ minutes but only play 13 minutes with ABSOLUTELY NO EXPLANATION.
I’m focusing on NAZ REID’S stat line.
If you bet on Naz Reid tonight and lost your bet you should 100% be refunded.
This is completely inexplicable. He was not injured, did not have a pre injury designation, the game was close and there was absolutely no reason for him to only play 13 minutes.
