Great Job @chriscardinal7
Big thanks to @RobMarchbank & @FairhavenGolf. First time for me taking on two jobs at the same time. Ian doing a great job on tee and path construction at fairhaven, working closely with Rob while I'm busy elsewhere. Great teamwork what it's all about going forwards!

Great to host @ICL_Turf & @SyngentaTurfUK on their recent Education Day.
Sean also led a course walk showing the preparation underway for @TheOpen in 2026.

Over 40 greenkeepers recently gathered at Royal Birkdale Golf Club for an ICL and @SyngentaTurfUK Education Day.
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the event was a course walk led by Sean McLean, showcasing The Open preparations.
Attendees also gained valuable knowledge on CRFs, Dollar spot management, and Turf Rewards.

Another amazing day with @spanner82efc from Royal Birkdale GC and @philipturner82 from Royal Hoylake GC and @MikeRollinsSIP. Thanks for showing us great hospitality. Someone else showed up at Royal Hoylake too!

One of the largest undertakings of phase 1 was the redesign of the 5th. Often regarded as the weakest hole on the course, it now poses a different challenge. 327y from the champ tees to a well-guarded green, how many pros will take it on during @TheOpen in 2026?

The 18th Hole – A formidable par 5 to conclude (Par 4 from the Championship Tees). This lengthy challenge leads back to one of the most iconic views in golf, the Royal Birkdale Clubhouse. Securing a birdie here can make that post-round drink taste all the sweeter

All the major works have been completed in phase one, and with the warmer weather, the newly seeded areas are beginning to mature
